I think he’s done some good things but from Hurley or Oates or Drew to Pope is a bit of a drop.

For some reason I remember BYU in the S16 or E8 some years past with Jimmer. That was before Pope.

Pope has not won a NCAA tournament game with BYU. Hes missed a couple post seasons completely. NIT quarters.

I didn't realize he went to UK. Makes more sense. But still not much sense at all. They should be able to get just about whoever they want in theory...but in reality their fans are so obnoxious that they're making it an unappealing job. Which is crazy.

Honestly, we've reached the point where a few million bucks extra to an elite level college coach isn't enough. We all claim that wr wouldn't n3ed $10 million if we were living good on $5 million. Nice to see some coaches saying "I like where I am at." I hope players pay attention and see the long term benefits. Hurley and Drew both gain some major brownie points in their own programs.

Kentucky recruiting is going to be a little leaner.
