It's a big part of their identity - everyone on in their rotation can shoot and hit the 3.
They won the title doing that, they aren't going to change.
They also aren't really built to do other things.
And it's tough to argue with results. When they are hitting, they're almost impossible to stop.

oh, i know it’s part of their identity
i stand by my point. if they’re happy dying by the three on nights when they aren’t falling, that just seems dumb

shooters keep shooting.
Considering they're the reigning champs, Celts might be doing something right.
Whether it makes for the most entertaining product for consumers, tho, is another can of worms.

I do think they could do other things better than a lot of teams are trying to do their own things because of the talent they have. If you really wanted it to be complete iso ball for Tatum and Brown to drive, you could, and you could be better than others at doing so.
Their identity, when it matters, is also in their defense.

That's correct. But nba is 82 game seasons and 7 game series. Usually your shooting averages will play out. They also have games where they make fuck loads of 3s and are impossible to beat. Their roster is stacked with good shooters who are high level defenders and passers

Old balls dunking LeBron, AD, and the rest of their squad lost by 21 to Q Grimes and a no Luka nor Kyrie Mavs team.
Quick! Someone find JJ Redick (he puts the Dick in Redick) and ask him a few questions.
Yeah, Zion is back and..... the Pelis still blow. (Now watch them come back and win because I said that )

That's funny gutter...I actually thought to myself after posting the LeBron dunk "I wonder if they lost?".

Can there be a difference between the Goat and the Boat?
I may give LeBron the Goat and Jordan the Boat. Or should It be the other way around?

No one realistically thought the Lakers were going to be contenders just because of JJ Redick - not sure what this guy is talking about.
They've struggled on defense for a while now.
LeBron and AD are still, at worst, top 15 players, and you definitely can put some of the blame on them, but that roster otherwise ain't contending.

This is the cycle that occurs when you trade a lot of young players and future picks to acquire elite talent. It can work in the short term, and did. They won an NBA title.
There is no realistic path to them becoming a contender anytime soon. They'd have to move AD and even then, not sure the return would pay off in time before LeBron retires.
