I think fans are just trying to scapegoat NIL for this team's loosing streak.
Agreed. I have seen KU teams look apathetic and disengaged prior to NIL as well and it was just as frustrating. NIL doesn't cause this. It is just that incompetence frustrations on top of NIL frustrations can be too much for some.

I know Ousdahl doesn't like stats, he's an eye test guy....but he also doesn't watch the games. So he's a box score eye test kind of guy....

So here are some real stats:

Per 40 minutes field goals attempted:

Hunter: 16.7
Zeke: 14.5
Storr: 14.5
Griffen: 11.9
DH: 11.9
Coit: 11.9
Kj: 9.6

DH isn't volume shooting. He actually had one of the biggest baskets of the game late going to the hole for an and1. He's been more capable of beating his guy and getting a good look going to the basket than Storr has.

And the stats above show that Storr IS 100% getting plenty of shots up in his minutes.

DH isn't putting up "volume shots" in the sense that you're trying to create
DH has attempted 35 shots over the last two games.

(without watching most games).
Other posters admitted they didn't watch this game either. Are you gonna give them shit too? Or do you reserve this treatment just for me?

He didn't take a single bad shot yesterday. They were all shots he should have taken.
all I know is, the last two game loosing streak to unranked opponents including Mizzou (ugh), Dajuan is averaging more field goal attempts than Frank Mason did as a senior.

This is just not an effective strategy. Dajuan taking lots of shots is exactly what opponents hope they can get us to do.

I know you want so badly for this to be DHs fault. But it's not. Anyone with half a basketball brain can watch our team and see he is not the problem.
There's blame to go around, and plenty to fault, but to suggest "it's not" Dajuan's fault at all, is just showing your own bias here.

I was gonna respond more about every other guy you called out BESIDES Dajuan, but I think the fact opponents can gamble off Dajuan, and KJ, makes it that much harder for every other player to get going offensively too.

they didn't have to...we never got an offense set up enough to see what they were doing or who they were playing off of.

Generally we threw multiple terrible passes per possession that either got picked off....or went absolutely nowhere towards opening up a lane. Then we panicked and tossed up something that, I guess, resembled a shot towards the general direction of the basket

The Methzoo game reminded me of a Press Virginia game.

Per 40 minutes field goals attempted (updated after Mizzou):

Hunter: 16.7
Zeke: 14.5
Storr: 14.5
DH: 12.3
Griffen: 11.9
Coit: 11.9
Kj: 9.6
I think this shows the correct guys are taking the shots.

Griffen has 46 total shots on the year and 30 of them are 3s. He's relatively 1 dimensional so his total is a little skewed because he rarely attempts 2s. I am assuming his ballhandling hinders his ability to create for himself off the dribble consistently. Even at Bama 189 of his 291 field goals attempted were from 3. And he only attempted 79 total free throws. Only 9 free throws so far this year.

I think Tang is a good coach.
I think he may be in for a rough season.

They have Drake and Wichita State next…if they loose both of those I think that’ll mean they’re in for a realllly rough season.
