Unemployment is at a nearly 50 year low. Jobs shouldn't real big on the priority list for the mid term election.

Stuff doesn’t stay that way by accident. It has to be protected.

That’s total nonsense and Psych knows it.

One of my public admin profs used to say that the government gets involved when the private sector has screwed up a lot. Which seems to be true of healthcare. Of course, as a former city budget director and the elected mayor, he certainly understood less than someone who simply voices ideological beliefs that have no relationship to the real world.

As my dad used to say, “Government could screw up a one car parade.” Always found that to be true.

When Trump says either "the best" or "believe me" he is playing the the role of Chad Ochocinco saying "child please".
Which reminds me of an old joke. How do you say fuck you in L.A.? "Trust me"

lulz

I know damn well which single issue won Trump the nomination and the presidency.

I also know what the polling data shows with respect to immigration AND Paul Ryan.

That Trump is on the wrong side of these issues morally shouldn't surprise you.

But by now it also shouldn't surprise you that he's one the right side politically.

He's not as dumb as you think. And his closest adviser is longtime and very successful pollster.

No. But I know what he's doing and why.

(P.S. the "wrong side morally" bit should have been a clue for you....)

How does being on the right side politically result in an approval rating of 40%?

47% in the latest NBC/WSJ poll (significantly higher than Obama at the same point), and support for immigration policies drawing overwhelming majorities of Reps. and independents and some even drawing majority support from Dems.

Poll aggregation carries its own biases, of course. But even if his approval is closer to 42 than 47, that's largely irrelevant (which, I presume is why you introduced it into the conversation). It doesn't change the relevant fact that illegal immigration is an issue that on which voters agree with him overwhelmingly.

Good lord. It IS significantly higher than Obama's, according to the poll I cited -- which is why I put it in the same post with that poll.

Such a weird, stupid thing to fixate on.
