Does this count since it didn’t happen in Chicago?

Again, most of these appear to be reactions to confrontations vs. the true "mass shooting" events but it's just sickening how many people lost their life in gunfire these days.

Move to Japan?
Do you want safety over freedom? Both?

Statistics show that Japan, known for its strict gun-control laws, is one of the safest countries in the world as far as gun violence is concerned.

This irks me more than anything, so much that I’m going to engage against my better judgment.

What “freedom” do the Japanese give up in exchange for their safety? It’s us that are giving up the freedom to go to a grocery store or send our kids to school without fear of death. Calling this line of opinion (I am reluctant to refer to this as reasoning or thought!) asinine is an insult to asinine thoughts!

Something tells me that question about acceptance of mass shootings was worded in a way to entice that 44% to answer that way.

What was the question? How was it worded? How many people were asked? How were they chosen? Because 44% of our country thinking mass shootings are acceptable seems highly unlikely.

All of them have less gun violence than the one you are in.

i call bs.

i can go to the mall right now. ask 100 people. not one person will say they are acceptable.

nobody believes that. gosh you people are gullible.

would you say maybe there's a chance at least one among those 100 would express some sentiment like "the more important thing is BUT MAH RIGHTS"

and I dunno if "have to accept" necessarily equates to "acceptable"

there is some concern regarding the disarming of citizens, since that historically hasn't always gone well.

and I just dunno how much it helps to point to that, or how much a bunch of citizens with arms - even AR15 arms! - could do in some real conflict with the gummint in some modern context.

but yeah, considering gun violence is yet another issue every other country in the world is kicking Merica's ass on, there's gotta be a better solution.
