Although the disappearing narrative may not be based fully in reality.

He's been on the team for 68 total games. He's scored 10pts or more in 25 of those. 15pts or more 13 times.

Fair. But you can say that about every single player on our team.

Sure, but there is a difference between having a bad game and disappearing. Everybody has a shit performance from time to time. It’s infuriating when you see someone on the floor for 25+ minutes and they’ve done almost nothing during the game.

Tough to know for sure since we’ve played nothing but garbage teams so far. His worst performance was against the only good team we’ve played. Also the first game, so that’s also relevant
He’s improved pretty much everywhere, but I think where it’s most notable is that he’s finishing plays. He could make them before but he’s too often get held up at the rim. Now being in better shape, more mature, more experienced, etc. the shots are going in.

His 2p% is over 70%. Forget how improved that is for him personally, that’s outrageous. It’s a Udoka number.

I am not going to argue (well maybe i am)....but he's had very few games where he's played 25min and done nothing. The gamelogs speak for themselves.

I’m not going to get into a game by game analysis with you but look at last seasons OU, TCU, Tenn stretch.

That’s disappearing

I think CB would disappear on the scoresheet, which is unacceptable, but he’s just always been a guy that you have to play because he makes his presence known and makes things run smoother.

I think he goes lax at times. His asshole mode is his best mode.

And he's rocking some serious swagger. Which I love. Needs to rub some of that off on Och

I don’t disagree. But, watch last night’s game replay. Och is also a new man.

If Och and Braun keep this attitude up, then along with Remy, that’s 3 guys that aren’t afraid to go out and make plays. We had 0 of those last season.

Sure that's a bad 7 day stretch.

How come you didn't include his 17pt performance against BAYLOR (the national champs) that occured 5 days before the OU game?

You're cherry picking 1 bad stretch that lasted 7 entire days.

The game before that stretch 17pts against BAYLOR. The game after that stretch 18pts against KState....oh and he scored in double digits in 8 of the 9 games following the Tennessee game.

That’s the fucking point!

Let's just call a spade a spade, a portion of our fan base are hyper critical of our players who are white kids from Kansas (CB is better than sleeves and reed, but they got hated on too). Perry Ellis isn't white, but he experienced some of that treatment (false narratives, selective stat analysis, etc) as well being a native Kansan.

The exact opposite is what’s actually true. Too many emotional fans who want to cheer for the underdog, the hometown kid, the little engine that could, etc. and lose their shot when they are fairly criticized

You said he's had "way too many games in the past where he completely disappears".....then you provided a 7 day stretch that included only 3 games.

I didn't miss your point, i just don't think your point is a very smart one, or one based in reality...and now you're big mad because i just owned you with facts.

Again, not doing a game by game analysis with you. You’ve proven to be too emotional to have a rational conversation.

LOL

You think CB Perry Brady and Reed received only fair criticism? 🤔 years and years of people thinking they know better than Self about who has higher ceilings and who should be playing?

I think the only thing i have proven is that your disappearing narrative about CB is false.

You only want to do game by game analysis of the games that fit your narrative apparently.

68 games. 25 games with 10pts+.

I can go back and find bad 3 game streches for numerous players thought of much more highly than CB.

It’s impressive how badly you miss the point so frequently. And then follow that up by going full gutter.

I am assuming we moved to personal attacks because there are no more really bad 3 game stretches to cherry pick?

🙂
