I have said it for years, the NFL OT rule is idiotic.
So fucking stupid that a coin flip allows a team to get the ball, score a TD, and then game over.
I'm saying that as someone who wanted the Vikes to win.
I'm just glad the Pats and the Saints are out. It would be even better if the Ravens got knocked out.

Would make for another great Titans breakfast next Sunday, no doubt.

Man. Vikings played well. Saints did not. Kirk made some plays out there. Ruined my parlay bet I had for this weekend.
Vikings might be riding high to SanFran. SanFran struggled to close out year. Lost to Atlanta and had some close, close games.

Three of the four teams that lost this weekend had 40+ year old QBs playing for them in Brady, Brees and McCown.

7 of the 8 remaining starting QBs the Chicago Bears could have drafted.
Only guy they couldn't have drafted was Tannehill.

I’m most surprised that the Chiefs line is bigger than the Ravens line. I guess Vegas isn’t quite sure what personnel is gonna show up for Texans. That, and Arrowhead.

Sports radio up here is great this morning.
Heard one fan explain that the Pats had an agreement with the NFL that if they threw the game, their punishment for Spygate 2.0 would be less severe.

Mike McCarthy (Formers Packers HC) about to be hired in Dallas.

Makes sense.
I think he can do something with that roster.
Better than a Marvin Lewis hiring.

Lot worse out there than Mike McCarthy. Really like the approach he took this year and it was featured on multiple networks. Had a staff of like 5 experienced NFL coaches and they worked M-F from basically 8-5. Watched film of every game, lots of college games to pick up spread plays. Had an office type of thing set up in his barn type of thing on his land in Green Bay.
He's good, his approach just got stale, and he struggled when Rodgers was not healthy.

If you think you could have gotten Lincoln Riley, then that's who the Cowboys should have gone after.
I don't like Josh McDaniels for the hire.
It's a fine hire.

Mike is like Les. Can he learn from his past mistakes and is he willing to change. His success is going to fall right into the hands of Jerruh and how much he wants to go all in on winning. If the talk matches the action then this could be a good hire.
9.5 seems very high for the Chiefs. Maybe Vegas sees that last time these two teams met the Chiefs didn't have Fisher, Jones, Watkins, and 'Reek only played 50% of his normal snap rate.

I thought the NFL had some rule about interviewing candidates to ensure fair hiring practices for non-white coaches.
Is that still a thing? And if so, how could he be hired so quickly after firing Garrett?

They interviewed Marvin Lewis. That satisfied the Rooney Rule thing.

Is surprising to see Chiefs have the highest line of the games. Chiefs played bad and didn't have as you mentioned, Jones, Fisher, Watkins some Interior OL and Mahomes was still battling his ankle.
Still went up 17-3 in first quarter. Then just fell off. Defense was shit then too, much better now.

That was the game with the awful missed call on the Kelce INT. Anyways. Looking back at the stats for that game they are fairly even except for two. Time of possession, which the Texans almost doubled and rushing yards.
IMO the only way the Chiefs lose this game is if they beat themselves. A bunch of dumb penalties, turnovers, etc. Lets not forget that save for Josh Allen looking like well Josh Allen we might be talking about how the Chiefs offense would match up against the Bills defense.

Tom Brady very likely wants to keep playing football.
He could very well end up in the AFC West.
