It's just insane. She wasn't going to be jailed if she broke from Trump and told the truth. In fact she would have been lucratively welcomed by the left-leaning media.

And, unlike some other people, she really can't do the "well, someone needed to stay inside to keep him on the rails."

If what she's saying now is true (and of course there's no reason to doubt it), it's impossible that she saved more lives by staying in than by screaming at the top of her fucking lungs that the administration was lying.

Granted, I’m not the type to be too afraid of loosing my job (there’s always some other way to get paid), but if I was in their position I think I would have picked the most opportune time possible to yell I’M TRYING TO BE THE ADULT IN THE ROOM AND SAVE LIVES WHEN I SAY THIS ADMINISTRATION’S RESPONSE IS A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT!

But also knowing this administration’s response, it might be less a matter of simply loosing my job, and more a matter of becoming the next “ousdahl didn’t hang himself” meme.

the vaccines don’t necessarily keep you from getting covid...they just keep you from getting sick to varying degrees

Shouldn't come as a surprise, it's 95% effective and most people haven't been vaccinated.

The strength of the vaccine is with numbers.

Also, during clinical trials, those who'd received the vaccine but got infected had fewer symptoms and recovered faster.

So.... Wouldn't it make sense that you might/could/would test positive for the virus if you have that "shit" in your body?

No. The test for the virus screens for a soecific sewience of viral RNA. The vaccine is a different sequence of RNA, and it produces a viral protein that your body mounts defenses against.

The logistics are hard, but the first steps are simple: do and pay whatever is necessary to produce vaccine (of all of these types), and get it into arms. Prioritization is good, but only if it adds a day or two at most.
