I’m surprised he didn’t say Mario Chalmers.

I like how in the 2nd video Mario doesn't back down....thats why he's a big game player. He's not backing down from anyone.

To me, THIS is what makes a player great. More than anything they can do during a game.

Why people hate this guy so much I will never understand.

Because he's the first real threat to their untouchable childhood hero, so they have to create false narratives to make sure the hero stays on that pedestal alone.

The reactions suggest ND is correct.

Illini - Have you bothered to ask the people who hate him so much why they hate him so much?
I don't know anyone who hates him "so much". I know people who don't like him and people who feel he's done some things that make him a douche bag.
In his defense, I don't think there is a human being on Earth who is liked by everyone and who hasn't pulled a douche bag move (or two or a hundred) in their life.

ND - I have no doubt they exist but I am interested in what/which specific "false narratives" you are referring to.
As far as me, MJ was never my "hero". But..... It sure seems to work both ways in terms of "false narratives". There seems to be an abundance of them in regards to Michael Jordan too.

I didn’t watch the video, but I assume it’s a Rogaine commercial.

Nah. The premise is silly. I dont hate Kobe, magic, bird. Those were all threats way earlier than boo boo James.

First real threat. 2 of the guys you mention were out of the league before MJ really started laying claim to best ever. Hard for them to be threatening his legacy when theirs was already written.

Maybe "false narrative" was the wrong term, but you can certainly agree many aspects have been embellished for reasons to hypocritically hate LeBron.

LeBron has a losing record in the finals and MJ is 6 for 6. Cool, edge MJ. Problem is that's where most MJ supports say the argument ends. Those types would have you thinking MJ only played 6 seasons.

LeBron has been swept twice in the finals. One to a dynasty when is best teammate was Larry Hughes, and one to a super team. Doesn't matter, if he was so great he should have led them to victory. Ask about MJs 1st round sweeps? Oh, he was young and the Celtics were a dynasty.

Theres plenty of other examples in this documentary where if LeBron does it he is drug over the coals. He'd be a terrible leader/teammate if he punched a teammate. He would have no loyalty to an organization if he said I'm not playing for a coach other than Phil. He whines to refs to much and flops too much. Do people really feel like the guy who looked for every single competitive advantage wouldn't "flop" if it gave him a better chance to get the call?

First paragraph - I completely agree.

Second paragraph. If I was a LeBron supporter I would point to the fact that LeBron has played in more championships than Jordan. Not his fault he lost some of them. Just as Jordan wouldn't have won 6 without his supporting cast.

Third paragraph - Right. That's part of my argument FOR LeBron.

Fourth paragraph - I think Jordan deserves ridicule for some of the things he did and I think LeBron deserves ridicule for some of things he has done. There are things about LeBron that I simply don't care for. Doesn't mean I don't think there are some fantastic things he has accomplished (both on and off the court) and I give him a ton of credit for it. I have no problem saying he's one of the 2, 3, 4, 5 best NBA players I have ever seen play in person. You would assume I would say Jordan was the best. I probably do feel MJ was the best but I'm not going to pretend LeBron isn't worthy of people feeling he's the best player they have seen play.

People will argue who/what is/was the greatest about pretty much anything and everything. Who am I to say - other than to give my opinion?
I don't have "fact" that can be argued. Neither does anyone else.
To me, Kobe was the original "threat" to the imaginary throne that Michael Jordan was bestowed - based on people's opinions. Now LeBron is. That's fine.
I had plenty of athletes growing up who were may favorites - who were not the "kings" of their sports.
It's never been a contest to me.
