Future proofing. They can release Jimmy G after this season with a negligible cap hit.

I liked the Fins move with the 49ers but why the trade with the Eagles?

Who do they want at 6?

Former KU Football Commit for 1 week, Jamarr Chase. Or Kyle Pitts.

If the QBs go 1-2-3, and Sewell goes 4 or 5, you get either one of those 2.

Say good bye to Sammy. Curious if he can stay healthy.

Kind of surprised that KC wouldn’t do $6M but that probably tells you they have no confidence in his ability to stay healthy

5 mil guarantee too much.
Sorry Sammy.
Wish we had gotten Bourne.

Same price or less year one. Deal year two and three.

Need to address WR in draft now that we whiffed so hard in FA.

So many good WRs in the draft is why Sammy was let go. That is a position with an expiration date for sure for smaller Sammy-sized guys. Need a power receiver. I think the priority in the draft should be that, OL and LB now.

Chiefs are going to get an OT, Edge and a WR in this draft. Maybe 2 of each.

So that may be it for FAs as they need space for rookies.

Didn’t address LT imo but they have options I guess.

Reed could move Chris Jones on the line for certain plays. That’s not a bad price to add him to the defense.

I guess they're pretty intent on solving through the draft (and/or hoping Schwartz or Fisher can play).

Here's my ultimate guess. They draft a guy for depth. Play Rankin and Niang at the T spots and sign Fisher when he is ready to go.

They HAD to cut Fisher because of his salary, but they like him and will probably want to resign him if possible.

This is a very dangerous game.

Assuming Mahomes keeps things together on the personal side (which seems, very much from the outside, like a pretty safe bet), there's only two things that could reasonably be expected to prevent multiple Super Bowls over the next 10-15 years.

One is Packersian organizational ineptitude. That doesn't seem very likely, at least for so long as Reid's around.

The other, of course, is injury. While there is certainly a randomness to injury, (1) Mahomes already has a habit of getting dinged up, and (2) you can manage the number of hits.

I wish we had gone a little harder after a vet LT.
Reiff got a contract kinda similar to Reed's.
Would the money have been better spent on getting a vet LT rather than helping the DLine?

Clark's been kinda ( i mean, really considering his price tag ) underwhelming of late so I get the move.

Stop texting, bro.

Three new lawsuits accusing Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct were filed Sunday night, including one that claims the Houston Texans quarterback is deleting Instagram messages and contacting the women "who formally provided him massages, in an attempt to settle" those cases.

Really seems like this is going to spiral out of control soon for Watson.

There are still several different outcomes in this, but like I said in my first post on the subject, it sure seems that Watson's best case scenario is that he (often?) paid for consensual sexual acts.

Only the owners can get away with that shit.
