Anyone watching Nova/UCLA? I'm not all that impressed with either -- so far. I'll say one thing I appreciate about Nova this year and like every other year is how strong and physical their guards are. They post guards up relentlessly and they just brutalize smaller players.

Texas vs. Gonzaga today.

Won't root for Texas often this year, but will in this one. Hopefully their football team gets smoked, though.

I listened to the 2nd half driving home from the game last night. Competitive and entertaining. Hopefully Texas vs. Gonzaga will be good today as well.

That is a cool stat, but,

Kent St has had two .500 seasons.
Xavier has had 17-12, 17-14, 19-16 seasons
Arizona has had 16-15, 19-15, 17-15 seasons
Maryland has had 17-14, 17-15, 17-15, 19-15, 19-14, 19-13, 19-13 seasons
Michigan St has had 15-13, 20-15, 19-15, 18-12, 19-12 seasons
Duke has had a 13-11 season

KU and Gonzaga are the only 2 to never have a bad year.

That’s pretty rad.

And KU’s the only one to not have a bad year in an actual conference

That too, and Gonzaga did have a 10-7 non-conference record in 06-07

I don't even know what year would be considered KU's worst. Maybe 13-14? Went 25-10 with a 9-4 non-conference record?

Thanks for sending me down the rabbit hole ous, but here's another stat that shows how great KU and Self have been

Since the 2000-2001 season, KU has never finished lower that 17th and has 10 seasons where they finished ranked 4th or higher.

The following schools have finished unranked

Duke - 2
UNC - 6
UK - 7
MSU - 8
Gonzaga - 8
Villanova - 9

You’re welcome!

Call it recency effect, but I think last year might be the worst.

21-9, 12-6 conference, and our worst tournament loss ever, by a margin.

And no injuries to blame it on like 14 or 19. Even at full strength just weren’t that good.

Yeah covid a factor, but also not sure how much covid is to blame for our multiple conference game stinkers in the 50s and shit

With that said, 21-9 and 12-6 would be how many other team’s BEST season

We spoilt

Agreed, last year may be the worst and they still went 8-7 against Top 25 teams

Just saw Evan Manning on the Gonzaga bench...didn't realize he's a grad assistant there.

Gonzaga is the worst possible matchup for us. Really hope someone knocks them off in March.

Timme is a huge douche but my god he's good.
