I bet you thought I was referring to Mahomes. I was referring to the kid and/or the assumed father.

Patrick needs to stick $10mm in a trust and treat his brother like a child. You only get distributions if you’re a good boy.

Nope. But you do get to decide how much of your money your family gets. And unfortunately that might be the only lever here.

i don’t follow this situation beyond kcrim, but it would seem to me that lil’ bro has already been given more (money, leeway, etc.) than he probably should’ve

Big time restructure.
I get it - he needs to be paid more - I just hope it doesn't prevent us from signing guys.
It MAY however somehow free cap space for a WR - we'll see.

Not sure who is available, but a solid WR looks good to me now.

It seems a weird coincidence that this happens right after the prolonged Chris Jones negotiations.
I don't see Brett Veatch as a weird coincidence sorta manager. This looks like part of a plan. My guess is this plan includes the Chiefs getting more weapons, not fewer. But I don't understand how the whole cap thing works.
I suspect Veatch knows a lot about how it works.

Isn't this whole website just a tribute to MITCH?
Yup.
Mitch Lightfoot. Not Mich Lightweight.

I read the article and one part struck me....
Mahomes said he felt a responsibility to the NFL's other top quarterbacks to continue to raise the salary bar after recent deals by Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow.
"You've got to keep the bar going; you got to keep it moving,'' Mahomes said. "I don't want people to be negotiated against me, and so that's the reason that you do something like I did this last week ... just trying to keep the market moving in the right direction, training in the right direction, so not only me but other quarterbacks in other positions can get paid the money that they deserve."
Why do I get the feeling I just saw him throw another "no look" pass?
MY prediction for Mahomes on Sunday.
25 completions on 32 attempts
349 passing yards
3 passing TD
0 INT
37 rushing yards
1 rushing TD
Does't play the majority of the 4th quarter because the Chiefs are up 20+ points

As far as I can tell, there's no realistic path to acquiring someone like Mike Evans. KC would need to clear significantly more cap space, in part due to Jones' new incentives being classified as LTBE.
Who else is going to be available? Hollywood Brown? Pass. Hunter Renfrow? Pass. Bengals would never trade Higgins to KC, even if this year becomes a lost cause. They're likely going to tag him next year.
I'd rather just let Moore and Rice play through through the growing pains and hope that Toney stays healthy enough to play a role.
