Fine. But you have to admit that this lack of progression is disappointing. It’s not for lack of opportunity or poor environment.

I think phd is right, he lacks fire.

He would flash physicality on drives and rebounds then quit on other plays. Watched him pretty carefully this year.

He certainly seems to transfer whenever things don't go his way. Which is fine, I guess, but tough to grow as a player when you don't stick with coaches for more than 12-24months.

Absolutely. Agree with you 110 percent he hasn't really shown the progression that shouldve been expected. Hes soft

CJ Moore made an interesting point. If CB and Wilson are just testing, and nobody transfers (not many days left to enter the portal), we can't guarantee an open scholarship.

I know there's the "these things work themselves out" thing, but it feels different with the new rules. Seems worse to show a kid the door after the transfer portal has closed.

If Jalen doesn't get drafted and has an approved agent, he can return to KU.

These things tend to work themselves out, though. (hi Cam)

I highly doubt Cam "wants" to leave...

And I am not a fan of force outs when there isn't an off court reason to do so. If CB and JW both return, and Bobby or Yes don't transfer, then my guess is we just don't get any new transfers. So that'll be "working itself out".

🤣🤣🤣

Maybe Cam should just work a few shifts at Raisin' Canes for $5k a pop and pay his own way like you suggested.

On a serious Cam note: he looks pretty freaking impressive in his workout vids with those guys our players work out with 90.10 (or something like that?)...his body has gotten a lot stronger since he got to KU. Shot looks awesome. More hops than I expected (maybe a result of improvements to his physique and conditioning). He may be able to contribute as 3rd or 4th big, if Udeh isn't ready at all, or if we play 2 bigs a lot with KJ (or Cam) at the 4 and Clemence (or Udeh) at the 5.

Cam is training with Zach and KJ at 90.10 and that's the same guy that worked out CB, Wilson and a lot of NBA players. The concern is that he won't be able to get his shot off and he has nothing other than a jump shot. I have such a hard time seeing it with him, but I hope I am very wrong.

He can be our Mitch next year maybe?

I expect at time KJ and Clemence will struggle with foul trouble since they are still relatively inexperienced game wise.

Mitch seems significantly stronger than Cam to me. So even does Zach.

And they both got abused at times physically. None more so than Mitch in his last game.

No different than Agbaji not really reaching his potential until he just flat out made the decision to play like an alpha and be more aggressive. It might finally click one day for him or he might never get the mental side of his game up to the level of his DNA-provided physical gifts. It happens all the time.

We need Martin to be nothing more than some depth at the position in case something goes wrong with the 3 bigs ahead of him in the rotation in Adams, Clemence and Udeh. Who know, Ejiofor may even be ahead of him; we won't have an idea about that until the guys get together and start playing this summer and word starts leaking out about how guys are looking against each other.

It is different because Agbaji was oozing with potential right out of the gates.
Pulled the shirt, he dunks, and you knew.

Tristan had the look of a ball player. And did a few nice things. But nothing jaw dropping.

It's quite a bit different. Och was a 3.5 year starter at KU. Tristan is moving down to Cleveland State.

We wanted Och to reach his college peak. With Tristan he's not even a good rotation player at the P5 level.

And Tristan was the much better NBA prospect at the age of 18.
