If I could raise the money and pay them a million to play in a small venue in Chicago in August right after their residency do you think they would do it?

Whatever, Spicoli.
Most people who saw the movie recall that scene.

During Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live guest hosted by Hahn, Rogen recounted a memorable evening spent tripping on acid while watching The Grateful Dead at the all-mighty Sphere. “It was normal Las Vegas for the first week and a half, and then one day, our casino was filled with bald men with ponytails and tie-dye shirts. We were like, ‘Oh, The Grateful Dead is here,'” he recounted. The Sausage Party: Foodtopia star did “a ton of acid” and watched the Dead perform in Sphere, which blew his “goddamn mind.”
Rogen wasn’t a Deadhead before the show, but he left a changed man. “It’s weird to hear a band for the first time and then [they] become your favorite band of all-time,” he told Hahn, who also attended the concert. “I don’t know this song, but it’s the best song I’ve ever heard in my entire life.”

Nice honor! I can go to the ceremony if I want to - but it would be a big ask for me to ask for.
Here is the thing. There are more than 4 surviving members.
Tom Constanten is still alive. So is Donna Godchaux.

man. so Dead Phish Orchestra!

Really fun show.

Never heard I'd hear a band fuse together Bathtub Gin to Bird Song to Divided Sky to Scarlet Begonias to Wolfman's Brother to Shakedown Street, as one big seamless jam, but here we are!

I never would have thought/guessed the Deftones would be fans of Dead & Company. Or one of their crew/roadies.
I wonder if there is some type of connection.

Billy Strings is one of the most over hyped musicians in the world. Sure he's a great musician but so are 1000000+ other musicians who are as talented as his is, and don't get half the recognition and love that he does.

You never know which song will be THE vehicle, on any given night, to get you all to the collective “there”. For me, it’s often Morning Dew.
Last night, John was working through something. He was mean mugging all night and finally burst into what seemed like a speech (unmic’d) during his Dew solo. His notes were matched with full sentences pouring out of a countenance tainted with turmoil.
Was he venting the weight of an era coming to a close? Was he going through something in his personal life? Whatever the reason, John Mayer worked through something tonight, culminating in that Morning Dew. I’ve never seen a show on the floor; to be close enough to see that emotional reality was an intimacy I didn’t expect to find at the Sphere. John had me crying just seeing the look on his face. I won’t ever forget that solo.

How and why does Phish have a "Shakedown Street"?
What next? Goose is going to have a Farmhouse for people to hang out at and buy shit at their shows?
Enjoy tonight - I hope you have a crunchy time!
