I don't get the dislike for Jon Scheyer. He seems pretty likeable to me. Way more than K his last decade +.

He played and coaches at Duke.

That should be plenty.

Off the top of my head reasons why people don't like him.
He played at Duke.
His HS coaches brother was the Illinois coach. Illini fans wanted him to go to Illinois.
He's a Jew.

Playing at Duke is a valid reason.

I guess I don't find myself hating all Duke players. I liked Grant Hill and Trajan Langdon. Although that list of likeable players each year significantly shrinks the further into Ks career we move. Mostly due to K.

Their fans are annoying too. But that holds true for most fanbases.

To me, not hating duke is not nearly the same as not hating Mizzou or KState or Iowa State.

Correct. hating Mizzou is a KU thing.

Hating Duke is a normal, functional, rational, well-adjusted human thing.

Not nearly the same.
