Fish, the payroll might not be the point of the thread, but that's what you choose (speaking of choices) to mention first. So, it seems (maybe an incorrect observation), that you feel the need to bang that drum the loudest. While the series is going, though, I don't care about the payroll, we do agree.

I wasn't the one who brought it up.

Haha. Oh yeah, Pdub. I guess I just white noise his hills he dies on anymore (than not), so that didn't even register, even though one right above yours.
This said, it's definitely not as simplistic as a 'choice'. This said, I say fuck 'em all (players, owners, networks, tickle brokers, dumb cunts who pay ticket broker prices).

We have a whole offseason for this noise!
And hopefully that doesn't start today.

3 pitches and they're losing. Spectacular.

Meanwhile, the Royals continue to swing at balls out of the zone and take strikes right down the middle. Really bad plate discipline all series from KC hitters.

Been a couple of months of no plate discipline. Meanwhile the Yankees are employing a defacto shift which meeds to called out. Melendez thrown out from right center by the ss. Bullshit

Cole touching 98 a lot tonight. Normally a good velocity, but not for a starter more like 95. He is overthrowing and will fatigue. Rally starting in 4th I think. Edit: But man is the ball dead. Witt hit what would have been a line drove hr. But it died.

Q is a flipping genius. Uses the closer in middle relief with tons of middle relief available. This is exactly how the Royals began their swoon in late August. Team swinging for the fences in a wind storm. Cole threw 15 fastballs in a row last inning. And no adjustments.

If KC doesn't get to Cole in their next half inning then this season is over.

It has been an unbelievable year considering the manager. But without a lot of luck, time to reflect. We are stuck with Grimes I mean Q.

"Good" news is that KC had some good swings last inning.
