Actually, Gutter, what happened was you got your panties in a twist about a post that had nothing to do with you.

I respect and actually appreciate your response but please let me be the one who decides what posts have something or nothing to do with me.
Believe it or not, I care about many things posted on here that may not be directed at me nor might you think pertain to me.
I hope you (and everyone else) have an enjoyable rest of your evening.

Doesn't seem like it's Gutter's panties that are in a twist, but those who have railed and ranted about the evils of Government in perfect Reagan Republican terms, only to see their years of good works vanish as people suddenly look to government with a new visions.

All good points...

I will say, that my bank doesn't deal with large corporations, and we processed hundreds of PPP loans for small businesses in our markets around central IL....so no, not every small business got a PPP loan, but I think we knew that wasn't going to happen...but many did. And yes, the ones that could quickly gather their tax returns and compile a balance sheet, or that already had those things at the bank in other loan file documentation, had an advantage....plus I think credit worthiness was still a thing, so the business that lose money each year, or report income (hide income) in ways that minimizes their tax burden, also had a hard time being approved in underwriting.

PPP was definitely a mess...money definitely didn't ONLY go to small businesses (at least the type of small business when you think "small business mom and pop types")....but a lot of it definitely did.

My cousin owns a retial clothing store. Maybe 15ish employees. They hide income by not reporting all their sales, terrible with money, have filed bancruptcy at least once that I know of, had their personal residence foreclosed on when their last business failed, etc...they are all over facebook bitching about not getting money from the PPP....when nobody would ever lend them a dime under normal circumstances....not to mention all their employees are likely already getting unemployment and they're still doing video sales shows selling their clothes via social media....so I'm curious what their strategy was for using the money and/or paying it back, since I don't think it could only be used to pay rent for the leased retail spaces they operate out of...at least if they were expecting it to be forgiven and not pay it back.

They're anti vaxers who think this "kills less people than the flu". Total fucking idiots.

Looks like Justin Amash may be the Libertarian candidate.
Who here would vote for him?

I know nothing about him currently, but based solely on the other 2 options I'd say he's got a good shot at my vote! πŸ˜‚

He is probably better than the two options but he's not a libertarian.

Over half this board is better than the 2 options...as a country we suck at electing worthy politicians.

The mere fact that Justin Amash is being mentioned as possibly/probably a better candidate than Trump or Biden speaks volumes for how politically fucked this country is.

i’m not convinced Amash would at all be better than Biden

great, he voted for impeachment and said what needed to be said in that regard

but, he’s largely supported gop causes that do more harm than good, imo
