Yeah, lol, totally humorous to refer to other human beings as “fertilizer.”
Totally humorous to think of war as an adrenaline rush similar to snowboarding, too.
Speaking of, pretty sure that Roman dood is Azov.
To be fair tho, he does have pretty eyes!

I am not getting Ous here. The war is an invasion of a sovereign nation by Russia as they commit indescriminate war crimes. The Russians could go home and end the war today.

Good in you Trad. But Ous disappoints. Normalizing freakish evil.

Of all the normalizing freakish evil in this thread, I think I have done so the least.
I agree here, and always have. The Russians are war criminals, and should just go home and end the war like pronto!
But, among other things - would a ceasefire make it more or less difficult for the Ukrainian oil industry to be privatized by Halliburton?

If that's the case, why are the puts in my Halliburton May iron calendar both underwater?

Careful feral, you’re not supposed to say the quiet part out loud!
This war has nothing to do with money grabs. This is a war between literal good versus evil, nothing but.
And, like Japhy would be giddy to slap some sense into you about, this war is so totally different than Iraq. He called bullshit on that one right quick! But this one’s way more differenter this time!
So much so, that when asked to articulate precisely why it’s different, which is to say, why he thinks the same powers who derped us on WMDs in Iraq are suddenly playing us straight about Ukraine, (and Halliburton lulz), that’s why Japhy is suddenly too busy to respond.
Point is, to accept it all bravely. Accept it with pride. Cuz you never ask questions when God’s on our side!
(Now quick, Japhy come back and ridicule Harper’s as just another Kremlin spambot!)

know what? sorry you guys. I don't mean to antagonize.
for real tho, what's your stance today? Is it still the same as it was, like, 2 Februaries ago? Which is to say, "Stand With Ukraine," which is to say, provide military aid to Ukraine for "as long as it takes," and what have you? Not trying to put words in anyone's mouth, so please do feel free to articulate.
and, if I may inquire in the least antagonistic tone possible, you DO realize there's a sort of shift of attitude, and rhetoric, and overall perception of Ukraine, and our own U.S. efforts in/for as much?

Ukraine has to win. There isn't a binary choice. On the one hand you have Putin and a clearly empowered autocratic movement coming for Ousdahl's sofa, On the other, a country that was invaded and brutally attacked. Ukraine is doing well. Bahkmut holds and the Russians are falling back. This Ousdahl posturing is tedious tankie talk.

Things will go bad for Europe and the rest of the world if putin isn't stopped.

This is pretty impressive:
The most effective weapons in the world are seldom the most powerful solutions or the most technologically advanced devices; instead, it is often the armament system that can be produced affordably and reliably, which can change the fate of a war.
Under such a perspective, the United States, Saab, and Boeing recently joined forces in an unprecedented operation to unite two of their most efficient, time-proven, and affordable weapon systems and merge them into something capable of shaping the future of modern warfare.
The idea is to take the raw power, precision, and compact size of the GBU-39B air-to-ground missile and the reliability and mobility of the HIMARS missile launcher platform to create a formidable new ground artillery solution whose parts are already in mass production.
The missile has been part of the US Air Force arsenal for almost two decades, while the HIMARS redefined the concept of mobility and efficiency in ground artillery armament. By combining the two, the weapon manufacturing collective promises to bring affordable and reliable new solutions to the world's most brutal conflicts.
The weapon is now being rushed to the Ukrainian battlefront, where it will be tested in combat for the first time while boldly taking massive aerial firepower to the ground…

Man, imagine thinking the solutions to the world’s most brutal conflicts is to make weapons more affordable and reliable.
What next, maybe it’ll help curb gun violence if we make guns cheaper and less prone to jamming?
Sure Jan!

When it comes to opposing megalomaniacs obsessed with communist imperialism and world dominance, et al., the desire to be efficiently better is a personal weakness of mine.

True, my mistake.
But not opposing Putin in Ukraine would only embolden him and not only pose an existential threat to a number of countries in eastern Europe, but put him closer to our allies in western Europe.
So, being anything other than militarily stronger than Russia would be stupid.

#dontbestupid
you aren’t paying attention
this is, and always has been, about the US vs russia…Ukraine is just a pawn
the UK, Germany, Poland, Finland Sweden, etc., and their collective security don’t really matter, and are only being used as propaganda to prop up the war effort so the US can go in afterward and take control of Ukrainian resources
