The market is based off of school teams. It actually has very little to do with the players.

Tell that to BWW Chad.

He went to UI - University Indianapolis - but loved Zion, Trae and Suggs.
He'd never be able to tell you the mascots for the three schools those players attended or any of the winners of the regular season, any year, of any conference, but he thinks Suggs is gonna be a star in the NBA.

Value, to him, is simply monetary.
There is no other value.

It's THE argument.
(Find me somewhere where I've said that there isn't value in what the players are already getting.)

Disagree with this premise.
I'll go ahead and knock this premise down a peg too.
Giggle. You can't just wish this one away.

You don't need to wish anything.
Life and value is very much subjective ( and we've had the argument over value, many times before ).
You see it lined in green - which is fine - different strokes, different folks.

Also, may I remind you, that you compared students, playing amateur sports, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars of benefits ( measurable monetary benefits - since the other stuff isn't pertinent to you ), to indentured servitude.

Giggle. Do I need to go back and quote the whole thing, again?

Why do you keep giggling? It makes sound look like a holier than thou, staring down your nose, jackass.

It does.
Jfish has changed ( to me ) over the last 5-10 years.
Still great poster, well informed, but just maybe not someone who i'd hang with.

It'll change his life and his family's life that's for sure. Good for them.

So far cashapp is the only brand being mentioned.

But, now he doesn't give a shit about playing for Alabama! Sure wish college athletes still played for the love of their school, and not for the love of themselves.

Wonder who the anti-NIL people think should be getting that mil? I don't see how any rational person, who it literally does not effect in the slightest, can be so against this.

This is interesting.

Hopefully he keeps his nose clean and makes the most of it.

Dude might be really good there. Not many explosive mobile 5s in mid manor conferences

I agree he should be good there. I don't think his time at KU went how anyone wanted but I bet he paid attention to some of the coaching. Hope he learned to keep his anger in check.

Thank goodness a media giant isn't providing Alabama and the SEC with an unfair competitive advantage to the detriment of every other college program. Seriously, though, It does remind me of Zion but over the table cash. I am beginning to think I would rather watch kids playing for pride myself.

A cash app commercial.

And sports trading cards?

It's crazy how much people are willing to throw around for sports cards all of a sudden.

I used to get boxes for like 20$ when i was a kid....probably should have kept them. I have a Kobe rookie card but its all fucked up because it's been thrown in a shoe box for 15+ years.
