Well “they” is a new group entirely.
No attachments.

You’re likely not going to get a guy with his athletic traits late 2nd. But if we think we can get Jameson Williams or Christian Watson at value, no need for a trade.

Chiefs have 12 picks in this draft. Plenty of draft capitol to get WR1.

Round 1: No. 29 (from SF via MIA)

Round 1: No. 30

Round 2: No. 50 (from MIA)

Round 2: No. 62

Round 3: No. 94

Round 3: No. 103

Round 4: No. 121 (from MIA)

Round 4: No. 135

Round 7: No. 233 (from MIN)

Round 7: No. 243 (from LV via NE)

Round 7: No. 251

Round 7: No. 259

With Fortsen back, the Chiefs are already great on receivers. Need to stock up on defense. And depth

I’d be fine if KC went 2 OL, 10 defensive players in the draft.

No.
What?
Fortson?

Busted JuJu, above average speedster MVS and Hardman would be a below average WR core across the NFL. We do have Mahomes, so yes, everyone is elevated, but we need to invest something.

Umm......what??? You always ALWAYS push your strengths. WR has a lot of depth in this draft but you want a WR1, I like Jameson Williams and George Pickens.

The Chiefs are fine and strong at receiver. Hardman and MVS have burner speed, Ju Ju, Kelce, Fortson, are possession receivers. Good rbs. The glaring weakness is defense and there is a chance to fix that for several years. College is DEEP with receivers. Hardman and Hill were the two fastest receivers in football, and it is possible Hardman is faster now. And the Chiefs aren't going to get the draft board favorite receivers at 29/30. I am not a fan of these mock drafts anyway. There are overlooked and better players across the board and KC seems to have some good concepts going in.

You might be able to get Christian Watson at 30.

But yes, we should use six of our first eight on defense.

There is money for a FA too. I think Mahomes with a spread field is more dangerous than always looking for Hill. The Chiefs have real good draft sense too.

I'm really interested in what Chiefs do this weekend.

I think they use one of those first to move up to the teens to get an edge that may slip a bit.

Just took a look at the Chiefs contracts in 2023 and beyond. Frank Clark is 100% gone after this season unless he restructures his deal or somehow becomes an elite (Top 5) DE. Cap hit in 2023 is $30M.

KC only has 1 QB, 1 RB and 1 WR signed after 2022 as well. This makes me think KC might be looking to keep as many of these 12 picks as possible. Roster in 2023 if fairly thin right now.

Would you give up your 2nd 4th round pick ( 135 ) for Jalen Reagor?
Another dangerous weapon with elite speed, former 1st round pick, coming up on 3rd year in the league.

I think I prefer the picks as well, but I think that WR trade proposal would give you 3 years of control, yeah? If so, not a terrible trade proposition.

The hypothetical was 1 pick. The 135th pick for Reagor. Not 2nd and 4th round picks.

Yea.
I wouldn’t give up a 2nd for him.
But either of our 4ths, I would.

I don’t think anyone will give the Eagles anything better than a low 3rd for what he’s shown…but for a fourth I’d roll the die and blame some of it on Hurts.
