Eerie pic. My sister often works a block and a half away.
I was going to take a pic of Michigan Avenue at noon time yesterday. Not as deserted but definitely a lot less people than normal. I have to go in to work today so it will be interesting to see what is (and/or isn't) going on.
I can look out my window and see Lake Shore Drive. Definitely noticeable how much less traffic than usual there is.
It's going to get worse and my current fear it's only a matter of time before the kids (teenagers) with nothing else to do decide to start to attack and pillage the stores up and down Michigan Avenue and the surrounding area.
This city is NOT prepared for that no matter what the Mayor and Police Chief DON'T say. To the best of my limited knowledge, neither have addressed that very possible scenario.

Was in downtown Lex on Sunday. Ghost town. I'm right on the outskirts of the city and there's a biker bar and a BBQ close to my house. Both were packed.

gawddammit.

I wish that Merica would accept the best thing for everyone right now is to just be isolated with your families for a few weeks.

Last night all the local bars were offering half off deals before thw ban goes into effect today. They were packed. Brilliant.

Situations like these just highlight why it is that good behavior has to be forced upon the majority of people by government legislation. I have always felt that too many people are too inherently selfish to sacrifice their own happiness and comfort for the greater good.

When given the opportunity to prove me wrong about that, the country has failed miserably.

Shame the Looney Bin can't stay open so the owners and management could have a chance to get and spread the virus at the establishment - and all die.
Ok, that's a bit extreme and uncalled for but how fucking dumb do they have to be to do that?
