8 picks in the first 135. That's a pick every 16 spots on average. That'll play.
That's a lot of running backs.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 12:59 pm 8 picks in the first 135. That's a pick every 16 spots on average. That'll play.
Feels more like their window just closed. If they waste 2-3 years waiting for these picks to develop then Kelce is gone.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 11:37 am Chiefs extended their window by about 7 years. But short term, this hurts them.
AKA their Mahomes window is closed for a few years. Chiefs twitter is going to be butt ugly this season.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:21 pm Kelce could very well could not play in a Super Bowl again. Who knows!? But they have a decent replacement in Noah Gray who does the same type of things that Kelce did when Kelce first started in the league.
The Chiefs are playing the long game. Not the 2-3 year game.
Like I just said, they cleared $30M in cap space in just 2 days. They're not done making moves this offseason.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:38 pm Chiefs are playing the short game and the long game. Which, they should. Any wasted year with Mahomes is a fireable offense, imo. They will make moves to try and be a contender in 2022.
Are there many elite pieces at positions of need to give all that cap space to? Seems like the FA pickings are down to Tiers B and C.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:45 pm Man, I wouldn't say their window is closed. They just converted a Thuney's salary to a bonus that cleared about $9M in cap space, and then Hill clears up $20M. They're probably not done adding pieces.
Vegas still has them as AFC West favorites.
Stephon Gilmore is out there at CB and Jadeveon Clowney at DE. They're likely not the A tier players they once were but they're still upgrades over what KC has now.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:55 pmAre there many elite pieces at positions of need to give all that cap space to? Seemed as if half the people on here were acting like the window was closed when the Chiefs were 3-4 last season.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 4:35 pmVegas odds to win Super Bowltwocoach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:30 pmAKA their Mahomes window is closed for a few years. Before Tyreek trade:
Chiefs +900
Dolphins +5000
After Tyreek trade:
Chiefs +900
Dolphins +5000
Window is closed, guys.
Nah. Window opened to rebuild the defense. Wide receivers are plentiful, the two deep safeties limited the offense. Need possession receiver and some secondary guys.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:13 pmFeels more like their window just closed.
