Mike Vernon, as hated as he is, posted about 30 minutes before news came out that "Some things aren't worth scooping" So many knew.

Heart attack or stroke is the word. Nobody sure and nobody will probably truly find out. Scary situation.

I follow along with Vernon and have to disagree. His info is usually pretty solid. He had the info on the Allen Fieldhouse renovations most recently and is usually very accurate.

To be fair, he didn't say Self was on the verge of getting a 2-year ban. He said "if they come to a resolution this year, this is what I have heard it would look like". Not exactly the same.

But he did hurt his credibility with his early whiff on conference realignment so I get it.

Vernon often takes things that people already have a good guess about and then tweets it out.
i.e. Goff -- he was one of the forerunners and he just 'scooped' it.
The stuff he whiffs, people don't care about.

So if you're taking educated guesses that are already fairly likely to come true, sure, you can be right about it, and say you called it. But the misses? NBD. I was just 'hearing', it's 'just what i heard'.
