All that said, I don't think it's a reach if someone were to wonder if this is part of what the personal leave of absence was about during training camp.
I would think it would be a reach to suggest something else other than this honestly.

On one hand, if there was a scenario where Gisele made an ultimatum, that you have to spend more time with the kids, instead of fully absorbed in football, you can see that his return to football may have been the final straw.
On the other hand, to a player like Brady, especially in a star studded relationship such as this, there should never have been an ultimatum made in the first place by Gisele. You'd hope that a partner would understand the passion of their partners career and that eventually, sooner than the average joe in this case, they will feel satisfied with what they've done.

I think going back on a retreiment decision, especially one in such an involved, taxing industry, would make a spouse upset. It would make me upset. Divorce-level upset? Not me, but if there were underlying issues . . .

I think it's fairly obvious that his retirement after 30 days or whatever, was a gut punch to Gisele. Like she stated in a published interview, she put everything on hold and moved to Boston freaking Massachusetts because of him. She was hoping to be able to spend more family time together with his retirement. He didn't seem to care much about that.
He's made enough money for his kids' kids to be just fine. He did it because that's what he's done for a long time, before him and Gisele even met.

Couldn't the same be said for Tom?

I highly doubt Tom was forcing Gisele to stop being a model.
She wants him to be more involved with his kids.
He wants to be more involved with his job.
There isn't a right or wrong there, despite what some may have you believe. His passion has always been football. I don't think he hates his children or even is a bad father if he wants to keep playing.

I also look at this as, well, he was the MVP of the NFL just 2 years removed from when you got married, and maybe a Bernard Pollard hit removed from a couple more, and he played for the Patriots, so to use this as some sort of chip against him in an interview is kinda horseshit imo. But I'm no big time celeb so what do I know.
I will also add that I think some of the shame/stigma of divorce is going away, but it's still there, which I feel is antiquated. There's a lot of value trying to work long term to solve the issues but sometimes people can't find it. It can be very healthy for a couple to move on - this might be one of those cases. A lot of couples break up.
I'd say if Gisele's goal is for Brady to be around his kids more often, divorce isn't the answer, but as mentioned, there may be ( probably likely is ) other issues. The downside/ultimate shittiness can lie in the web of supporting blood sucking ( not all, but divorce lawyers certainly ) lawyers. Both could end up spending millions.

One of those seasons you blame on Dee Ford. And a coin toss.
The other on a third string offensive line and the worst officiating in a Super Bowl ever.

How did the Cheifs lose to the Colts? They are so terrible. And Russell Wilson is a shell of himself. The Broncos are so screwed with that contract.

Make it stop. This game is so bad. Broncos fans are walking out even with the team going to OT.

Richard Sherman certainly deems to have no love lost for Russell Wilson. That was interesting. Would live to hear more from him.about that whole thing.
The Broncos are fucked, Wilson is not that guy any more. Brutal.

The Colts, who fucking suck, are now just a half game behind the Chiefs and hold the tiebreaker head to head. Insanity at its finest. That was hard to watch.
