Kansas State has won 19 Conference Championships.
KU won its 20th Conference Championship in 1938. That was 85 years ago. Franklin Roosevelt was in his 2nd of 4 Presidential terms.
This is absurd.
Yeah, but if you cherry pick the stats to ONLY be for the Big 8 then they skew in the favor of KSU for a little while.
Point of order: 33 years and 452 B8 conference games is hardly "a little while."
Considering that they have been in the same conference for what, more than 100 years? Yes, it is. It's a slice of history that ended more than 30 years ago. I know you're excited to matter again, I would be too if it only happened every decade or so. Tang is a really good coach. Enjoy him while you have him.
CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 1:00 pmNever understood why Kansas State fans pose as KU fans on KU message boards. Happens a lot on phog.net too.
Anyway, Jerome Tang did not go to Kansas State because their fans think they were KU's equal prior to 1986.
Who was that one kstate that posted on EVERY board possible regarding local (KU, kstate, Misery) He was like a former mayor of Manhattan or something.
tmcats/BobStrawn. I just assumed that's who this "surly" was.

Everything about this whole thing is so Little Brother. So weird.

"40 years ago we ended a pretty good stretch of 30 years after 50 bad years and Jerome Tang recognized that."

One of my favorite timmy moments from the previous boards is Bob posting a tweet of a video of his son counting a supposed 5-second violation by KU. Poor guy didn't know how to count or how long a second was. One of the best self-owns we've seen.
That was a thing of beauty...just priceless

There's that 'lil brother' thing again.
blind squirrels and broken clocks…
hilarious, that in the era of conference realignment driven by football prowess, statie still fails to draw any interest

Actually, that game in Manhattan was ESPN's highest rated for the week (1.5 million viewers) by some margin and 40% higher than the year earlier when KU played OU. And no program is getting more national ink these days than "Statie" and coach Tang.

And they still put your biggest game of the year on ESPN+
