If we can’t beat WVU how will we beat the actual good teams?
Self
Allen Fieldhouse
and DH/Kj/KM/DH
That's how.
We have much tougher roadies than these meth heads.
Yes we do. But we'll be up for the big ones.
And like you've said, 5 losses probably wins or ties for conference title.

On a brighter note. Furphy and Timberlake are starting to find their way with this team.
Frustrating loss, but our team got better today

Nah.
Good to see our bench contribute but I don’t know how you can see we got better by loosing to maybe the worst team in the B12.

I'm usually fairly calm with losses anymore, particularly early conference losses. Today is flashback TDub. I'm irrationally angry about that game. Everything about it.
Same.
It’s the lack of effort at the end that bothered me.
We need to desperately attack rebounds like it’s the last one you’ll ever try and get.
Instead it’s, eh, maybe it’ll bounce my way.
yes..very much so.
Then, when you DO finally get some effort the refs call a phantom bullshit foul and change the game.
Watching ridiculous shot after shot dropping through the net was destroying my blood pressure also.

KU shot 53% and had 7 turnovers but still lost. Unreal day by WV. Now if Houston can win, it might help make up for this loss.

well Houston won, but not sure how that helps us any. I'd think we want them to lose as often as possible. UCF isn't any real threat to do anything.

Thinking of the Texans helping the Chiefs

Idk if elmarkos foul was a phantom call? He reached. Didn't pay close enough attention to see if it was actually a foul or not, but looked like it could have been
But the fact that he swiped at a player when we were that close to a 10 second count was a dumb freshman move

It was a bad loss. A tough loss, on the road hostile environment against a team playing at their ceiling.
Tough losses yield improvement more than easy wins do

Yes and no. We were in desperation mode anyway, but slapping at it is never good. Puts pressure on the refs to actually observe what happens and not blow the whistle.
Either way, the Elmarko foul isn't a big deal if Furphy blocks his man out (3 times).

wtf are you talking about?
"I didnt watch it closely, but it was a dumb move"
Yep, down 2, clean strip to set up a wide open lay in to tie the game
Terrible move!
Jesus christ.

Kansas has now completed their three easiest Big 12 road games and went 1-2.

The refs are sitting there with their whistle in their mouths waiting to call a quick foul, assuming you are going to foul to save clock. It wasn't terrible but it was extremely risk and very unlikely to go without a foul called. If he did nothing, they get the 10 second call turnover.

If he didn't reach, would they have gotten the ball back via a 10 second turnover?
It wasn't dumb, just risky and it didn't work. That is called a foul 99 times out of 100.

TDub is right.
Go replay it, there was no foul.
He reached but he reached and got the ball which, if you have watched basketball enough, is called a steal.

The fact Self went totally insane and they didn't call a T tells me all I need to know.

Oh man it’s not just Furphy on that rebound on the FT miss…it’s KJ too.
Oof.
