With the Elmarko injury and no young PG on the roster, I don't see anyone who can offer him the opportunity that we can.

We will be losing massive production after this year. Nearly everyone meaningful will be gone.

Kansas basketball target Darryn Peterson has locked in a commitment date. The five-star prospect in the 2025 class will announce his commitment on Friday, November 1. He will pick from his group of finalists, which includes Kansas, Kansas State, Ohio State and USC.

The 6-foot-5 guard is the No. 3-ranked prospect in the class of 2025. He is the No. 1 combo guard in the class and now that he plays his high school basketball for Prolific Prep in Napa, California, Peterson is the No. 1 senior in the state.

Bill Self and the KU basketball staff have been out to the West Coast to visit Peterson multiple times over the last six weeks or so. Peterson has long been one of KU's top targets in the class...

I remember when recruiting was exciting. Now? who cares....until they play a game who knows if they're showing up on campus....even then....I just assume most are just one year mercenaries.

A while back Self had a quote about how much recruiting has changed.

For years it was, you get a lead on some kid as a freshman in HS, do some scouting, make some introductions, get to know the fam, make an offer, and hope for a commit by junior or senior year.

Now it's, schedule a zoom call, and 3 days later wonder when he's gonna make up his mind.

It's have a phone call with a point man who says how much the number that team is offering and then calling around the other schools point men negotiating their numbers.
