I only know because it's been shoved down my throat from every media outlet for the last month. It's being force fed. WNBA still sucks despite their efforts to make it interesting and demanding we all find it fascinating.

I'm not into Giraffes.

also, I was more saying it's incredibly boring to watch from a basketball aspect.

(full disclosure....the NBA, to me, is also boring to watch).

It's not WNBA, but it's women's sports...I want to go to a Current game at their 'fancy' new stadium, but tickets are ata least $50, and I find that silly.

I can get a SKC (that's Wiz, PDub) tickets for $13 tonight.

Also:

just about no one had any interst in the WNBA before CC got drafted. Mostly, no one still cares. But, because most of us are attached at the hip to our electronic devices that feed us 'news', and ESPN wants us all to want to watch the WNBA, more people 'think' it's more popular/important/better/whatever superlative you want to put on it...when in fact, it's the same product no one cared about a couple months ago, but with a HUUUUUUUUUGE marketing engine pushing it down the track.

Same way ESPN defaulted all of our apps to the Women's tournament before the '23 tourney in an attempt to generate fake interest/clout.

If the product is actually entertaining to people, it will stick. I'm still hesitant to believe it, at all. But, I'e been wrong before.

For almost anyone to try to be on any kind of high horse about being a fan of women's sports vs. those who are not.....honestly, you need to just STFU. Mostly, you have just drank some Kool-Aid. Oh-Yeah!!!@

Same.

But, as I pointed out a couple of days ago, I have more interest in the NBA this year than I have in forever. Not sure why, (KU's early exit from the dance this year?), Christian Braun and Embiid, along with any and all other Jayhawks in the NBA to a lesser extent, most likely.

In terms of the WNBA, along with Caitlin What'shername and the immense talent she shows shooting and often making 3's from ~ 30', my two granddaughters have matured to the age where I'm eager for them to have women in sports to get excited about and look up to, and suspect that plays a part in my interest there. Along with being an easily manipulated media stooge like B2L is pointing out, of course.

This is weird. Why do so many of the veteran women players hate her?

Today's example of how something can be funny and not funny at all - at the same time.
P.S. This is from last season.

For sure.

But, I I'm fine with it. I get it.

I do find it fascinating how a large portion of WNBA hates this girl. Yes, she's whiny and complains to the refs too much. But she tries to say the right things.

The hate she's getting has made me like her more. I wasn't a fan during their tournament run and the lead up to it.
