I think McCain was pretty courageous

I think our governor is. He said early on in this thing that what he needed to do may not be popular and he may not get re-elected, but that he was going to do what is right and stick to it. He has, and we ain't texas, mississippi or florida. The good, christian folks of KY hung a burning effigy of him outside of his house in full view of his kids.

I’ve wondered where we’d be if more public leaders stuck to a safer approach with covid, rather than pander to the most reckless constituents.

Then again, I also I’m leery of the idea of public leaders not accommodating the desires of constituents.

But the nice thing is, in our little system we gots for ourselves, even if a public leader was in no way representing his constituents, the remedy is only an election cycle away
