F the NCAA
Re: F the NCAA
I still don't really think we "should" get in much trouble at this point. It's been so long. I am sure we will get a few meaningless slaps on the wrist.
Winning a national title this year would make any punishment that comes in the offseason seem like a blip on the radar.

Re: F the NCAA
Dude, it’s the NCAA that’s doing that.
Actual court just said so.

Re: F the NCAA
I'd actually think it's far worse if Self didn't know what was going on with Gasnola since they were such good friends. That seems a hell of a lot more like not being competent or having control of your program than it does if Self knew (which he did) and knew it was par for the course going on for decades.
Re: F the NCAA
What other interpretation is there?
Re: F the NCAA
Some of you desperately want KU and Self to be squeaky clean.
I personally don't care if we engaged in breaking the rules that everyone knows were being broken. It is/was college basketball culture. They have made movies about it.

Meaning it is past time for the NCAA to look in the mirror.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 10:57 amI personally don't care if we engaged in breaking the rules that everyone knows were being broken. It is/was college basketball culture. They have made movies about it.
Many things can be true at the same time.

Yea.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 10:58 amThe ruling was about getting fired from UConn, right?
And how the school should not have relied on the NCAA’s kangaroo court to establish cause, instead of all the evidence otherwise.

The only reason they "care" is because it came up in court and they had to be all like "oh my gosh!" we had no idea this was happening..
