There's just so much stupid.
"We don't have the same funding resources as some of these schools do for these NIL deals," Kiffin said during a news conference on Tuesday. "It's basically dealing with different salary caps. Now we have a sport that has completely different salary caps and some of these schools have, whatever, five to 10 times more than everybody else in what they can pay the players. I know nobody uses those phrases, but that is what it is."
The schools don't fund NIL, numbnuts!

And none of what you're talking about has anything to do with a salary cap, numbnuts!
"In free agency in the NFL, players usually go to the most money," Kiffin said. "Every once in a while, they don't because they already have a bunch of money. Well, these kids are 17 and 18 years old. They're going to go where they're paid the most."
Explain to me how your side of the interview and negotiation processes went, numbnuts!
"I'm not complaining, it just is what is. Wherever there's things created, there's a lot of times problems people didn't think about. You just legalized paying players, like people used to cheat."
You are complaining. And yes, what happened is that rules were changed so that kids get money too.
"I joked the other day that I didn't know if Texas A&M was going to incur a luxury tax in how much they paid for their signing class," Kiffin said.
Probably not something to joke about! (And also, A&M didn't pay anything.)
"Somehow they're going to, I bet, try to control NIL because now you've got these salary caps at places, giving players millions of dollars before they ever play, and other places not being able to do that. What would the NFL look like if there were a couple of teams in the NFL where their salary cap was 10 times more than everybody else's salary cap? That's where we're headed, so they're going to have to do something."
(This is word soup that, as usual, reveals that Kiffin doesn't know dick about how any of this works.)

So, you’re saying Kiffin’s intellect is why he’s been able to fail up for decades?

And there are still people that doubt Flores’s allegations, lol.

Was literally going to draw the same Flores parallel. My God what a box of rocks is the man. But he isn't wrong on lamenting NIL limitations where he is: Possum steaks and moonpies.

The NCAA must have heard someone say, “this (organization) is the biggest clown show on the planet”

NCAA: “Hold my beer”

I think I finally have an opinion on this subject.

The NCAA rules should be related to only academics. If the idea is these are student-athletes, they can enforce the student part (which they didn't even do with UNC), and the schools will take care of the athlete part. The students need to take real classes and stay in good academic standing the whole year. That's it.

Who cares who pays them and how much. The only reason to restrict that is to level the playing field amongst schools. The only one that cares about the field being level is people looking to profit off better competition, and they do it by saying you can't pay student-athletes. That's, like, the epitome of exploitation.

If schools want to compete so they can make money from sports, they'll need to pay, it's an investment. It'll make a worse product for fans, but it's the right thing to do.

We may impose illegal ex-post facto punishment? That is how I read that. When they screwed over Kansas City by going to the highest bidder, did they not consider the irony?
