There is truth to this.
I'd still argue an elite WR would have been a critical piece making big plays to get KC to the Super Bowl.
But if Mahomes and co. can win one more, take a bow Veach, you were somehow right.

I don't think the outcome of one game in two weeks is what makes Veach right or wrong.

The only thing, in my opinion, that would have conclusively been wrong would have been to fail to commit to one path or the other - to do the defensive pieces AND an "elite" WR (which would have, in combination, required salting the earth for future years).

Feels like it unfortunately. Also unfortunate is that KU doesn't seem to have a Mahomes-type on their roster who is just better than everyone else when it matters most.

The fact that Taylor actually has plenty of time to make it to the Super Bowl because her final Tokyo Dome show on The Eras Tour is the previous night AND she’s on the correct side of the international date line to arrive AND be rested is the closest I’ve felt to believing in god

LAST time these two teams matched up in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs winning might have saved a non-trivial amount of lives (a SB parade and associated events would have been in an area where a weird new virus was MUCH more prevalent than it was in Kansas City).

THIS time around the Chiefs simply being in the Super Bowl might be a non-trivial factor in preventing a second Trump presidency.
