So here’s the issue:

I think Gregg Berhalter is performing exactly to the level of our talent base.

Half our guys don’t start for their clubs and we only have one world class player ( no McKennie is not one. Gio is not one ).

So we have beaten the teams we should but lose to the teams we should as well.

This tournament was supposed to be a test for both our team and maybe, more importantly, Gregg.

But with Tim Weah just being all sorts of dumbfuck that’s all ruined. Gregg has an excuse for failure…unless we somehow beat Uruguay we are out of Copa.

Ticket prices are becoming almost what I consider reasonable for tomorrow. Although parking is still $50 I think.

Slovakia bringing it early against England.

Based on name, I’d expect them to be more suited as a second half squad.

We stopped in to a local bar up in the middle of nowhere with 5 minutes left in that game. Great time to tune in.

What a goal.

This ref is so bad I wonder if Sparko is watching. It’s like a wet dream for him.

If this isn’t offsides, the fix is in.

No SUPER BOWL for the USA squad.
JUNK!

To add insult to injury, the ref blows goats.

USA men's soccer is so frustrating.

One thing that sticks out is how much we struggle crossing the ball with purpose on the attack. It's like they just kick it and hope it gets to one of our players. Or pass it right to the goalie. Pulisic had one last night he probably should have just ripped a shot instead of trying to pass. Instead he passed it right to the goalie. It had no chance of being successful.

The refs didn't help last night...but we weren't great either. Even though it felt like we dominated the first 50 min or so. You've got to capitalize on opportunities. Have to have guys that can score.

If USA didn’t advance with a full squad for both games v inferior opponents I’d be in full support of “sacking” Berhalter.

I see the Gregg haters putting the blame on him for Weahs actions like it’s a culture he doesn’t have under control. Those people are morans.

Berhalter isn’t a top 100 coach in the world.
We don’t have a top 20 talent pool in the world.
So yes there’s a gap there but the people who are like “we should be contenders!” I have to compare to ksu football fans. Lolz. No you aren’t. You never were.

Agree. I know we aren't capable of "true contenders". Probably not in my lifetime. Maybe never.

I think in 2002 we were a group of just fucking great athletes who spent so so much time training as a team bc our guys didn’t have great prospects earning them tons of money.

Now our talent is way better so our guys can’t all be in 100 percent training with each other as often so we level out with the other squads.

And because we don’t have elite players we will now under perform to the standards of the hard core fans.

We fired Klinsmann too early but Gregg hasn’t failed as hard as people make it out to be. Honestly the first four years of his squad would be like Bill Self 2009. Win and loose when you’re supposed to with maybe a squad of lesser talent.

We need to score more goals. As simple as it sounds. We can defend and stay in games, keep games close, and win games when we are the better team...but when we are an equal or lesser team we just don't slop in enough bonus goals to create many upset situations. And we don't convert enough of our good looks.

Coaching isn't in my top 5 issues with our team/players.

It's currently 115 degrees in Las Vegas. My first thought was they are crazy to play the game tonight. Then I realized they are playing in a "dome" that is "climate controlled".
I am NOT a fan of domed football stadiums but if I was going to the game tonight, I would be happy it is "indoors".
I need Brazil to win so I am expecting them to lose.
