He doesn't give a shit that opening up the country puts you and your family and health care workers on the front lines trying to deal with the pandemic without having the proper PPE at greater risk, because he's too emotionally immature to deal with having his life changed for several weeks.

On behalf of the health care workers and others that you're comfortable prolonging and increasing exposure to the coronavirus to, grow up.

I am glad I do not have a job that requires me to be in charge of making these life and death decisions. This is endlessly complex and every decisions made or not made could have dire consequences. I do not envy those in charge at all. I hope leaders are gathering as much data from ALL of the factors invved and weighing it appropriately.

Ultimately, we will all make our own decisions once given the opportunity to resume our lives. This certainly has changed the way I look around at my little world.

And I would argue that understanding that a calculated risk is necessary in order to avert Great Depression 2.0 and “not giving a sh*t” are two very different things. I’m sure it is hard for you to imagine from your seat of privilege, but many people are in a world of economic hurt right now, and the point of no return is very near.

Just wait until the folks complaining about their personal freedoms are told that the best way to open an area's economy is to have everyone submit to a blood test to check their antibodies and then have their actions and interactions tracked. I am sure they'll be FINE with that...
