No head coach shovels more doody than HCBS. It comes with the territory. His schtick is one of the many reasons he is so successful.

All the top dogs have a schtick.

Nailed it. We have some weird ones around here and others with a unique schticks, but michhawk is genuinely just a simple minded fool.

In this profession, Self is one of the more candidly honest coaches in the media. He has certainly passed out some bug fat plates of lies in the past few years in relation to player issues and this NCAA mess but in his day to day interactions regarding the actual game, he is way less full of shit than Coach K and Roy. Cal is pretty honest in his evaluations of players and team, both his and his opponents; he's just a type of human that I find revolting.

I would love to sit and have a beer or three with Bill Self and Bob Huggins while watching some NCAA tourney games away from the public.

I dunno if Huggins would even be willing to sit down if you’re only gonna have three

Unbelievable that KU fans would stoop so low as to rip on someone who has a history of health issues and very well may have had another one. Or may not have had one. None of us really know for sure - do we?
You don't like the guy, fine. You don't like the guy and use a possible health issue to post something negative about him that makes you feel good about yourself - asshole move.
You want to rip on me for my post - go right ahead. Have at it.

I hope it would be on a Sunday, after we have played our game.

You may have a point, of sorts.

But I think we as opposing fans aren’t necessarily ripping on someone who has health issues in itself, but more so questioning the sincerity of those claims.

It just seems sorta fishy that some of these health issues coincide with loosing teams, often after the fact.

Unbelievable that you would miss the point so badly.

lulz

Of course you'd miss the point. You would be you if you didn't.

K's illness was never the issue -- or at least it wasn't until he brought it up. And he brought it up specifically to diminish what SFAU had done. That's a Kunt move.

And defending it is an asshole move.

Laughing amongst ourselves on a random Kansas message board at Coach K claiming to have had a medical issue right before his team took a bad looking loss does nothing to make me feel better about myself. How would that even look? "Well, I may not be able to coach like Coach K but at least I didnt have a minor medical issue a few days ago. So at least I have that on him!" Seriously, no one is that hard up in need of self praise.

It's just a harmless conversation that in no way causes any issues for either Coach K or his current or future players. It is not derogatory, it does not prop up any sort of bias or discriminatory behavior about a class of individuals.

It wasn't based on his age or his past medical history; just his history of being a disingenuous shitheel when his team loses.

Watching a very inconsistent Duke team does not an ICU visit make. It doesn’t feel great that KU played like crap against them either. Might be a bad loss at the end of the season.

Nah, Duke will still be a top 3 seed, so the loss won't be looked on that bad, but still won't be a good loss. But I think committee might see that loss as an outlier with all the turnovers.

I mean goodness, Duke just struggled with Winthrop after getting outplayed vs SFA.

I don’t know how it works. Or what the definition of a “good” loss is exactly. But I speculate that a loss to a team that is seeded as an overall 9-12 will be looked upon as a good loss.

You said so yourself that duke will be a top 3 seed.
