Just because someone may have a drinking problem doesn't mean they are wrong in what they are saying. Being drunk and speaking truth are not the same thing. It is possible to really drunk and say something profoundly true (as the old saying goes, truth is at the bottom of Jack Daniels).

Then, when it's noted that wine-backed recommendations for living one's life might not be the best, you offer this silly statement about Truth in Jack. I lived with 2 men who had 40 and 50 years of sobriety. They would have certainly agreed that Being drunk and speaking truth are not the same thing. and that alcohol fueled admonitions are about as reliable as the fumes from the booze behind them.

It's offensive that you offer that nonsense as something women should take seriously.

The biggest lesson learned here is that they were both in the wrong. The woman had no sense of public etiquette, and the man was obviously a jerk.
