And also, consider that we, a big-conference team, have played many many buy games with fewer than 25,000 people in the stands.
I doubt KU's opinion matters much when the Big 12 makes decisions on football.

Not a big Thamel guy, so I won't link him.

But, he just published an article on yahoo with quotes from football brass that CFB is unlikely to happen in the fall.

I was some what optimistic in May that CFB might happen but I'm now convinced that there will be zero way CFB will be played in the Fall and college campuses may be next. What an absolute shit show this has become.

So what does that mean for eligibility? Does this year never count?

It's either going to be spring or not at all. Fall college football will not happen.

It's the middle of July and the pandemic is still picking up speed. Never thought that possible.

Never underestimate Trumpers.

There were also thousands of non-Trumpers protesting and spreading the virus like wildfire. Just sayin.

Nope, protests didn't result in increases.

"Imagine a virus so woke it knows not to infect protestors!! "

I don’t think there is much chance that a year off is gonna make places like Kansas have better teams.

The haves will have more and the have nots will have less.

Being wrong wouldn’t be bad.

Sorry man. I'll try. But you have to admit, the Redskins thread was likely to be a touchy subject for many.

As I stated earlier in the thread, what makes Kansas in a beneficial spot for a canceled season is that it's probably the only Power 5 team dealing with having only about 50-60% of its scholarships filled.

A canceled season is equivalent to getting an extra recruiting class. That is absolutely huge and Long/Miles have been campaigning for the rules to change so they could do exactly that and stack 35ish recruits into one class.

Yeah, I understand that part, but I don’t think teams with less talent by definition, even if the gap may shrink a little bc of the scholarship #s, benefits from resuming play after a long break against teams that are still superior in talent.
