Re: NFL Offseason 2020
Yep so is Chiefs in New Orleans the weekend before Christmas. Might be something fun for Chiefs fans to spend the week of Christmas in the Bayou.
But yeah Vegas, on a Sunday night in November. That's really intriguing.
There are going to be A TON of Chiefs fans that first game in Vegas. It's so easy to get out there from KC/Kansas/Missouri.

Buddy is trying to convince me.
I love me some Vegas but that's a haul.
And then who knows if it'll be on that date or even happen.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
Even if some fans are allowed, it won't be 100% of capacity, not close.
Season ticket holders are going to take up any seat that is allowed to be filled.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
In this fanciful world where being in crowds is fine by the fall/winter - holy shit, the trip is New Orleans, not Vegas. Times a million. Especially because the Chiefs will be in Vegas every year.
Re: NFL Offseason 2020
Had a long discussion the other night about how this is handled. The simplest answer is to cut everyone's package (ticket package, you pervs) in half.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 12:50 pm Even if some fans are allowed, it won't be 100% of capacity, not close.

But more goes into it - you can probably fit more people into the stadium if they come in bigger groups, right? Assuming you're letting people with tickets together, sit together?

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
Heard an interesting conversation about this on a podcast. Do you allow limited seats and have people come in waves like boarding a plane or something like that.jfish26 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 1:14 pmHad a long discussion the other night about how this is handled. I don't think you can allow season ticket holders only, that would discriminate against the typical fan. Don't think stadiums will be over 50% full. It's going to be interesting how this goes. Some teams are going to have tough calls regarding who will be attending the games.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
I've heard about that plane/church type boarding.
Stadium at 30% capacity with a couple seats between each person.
Listen, fans or not, lets just get the season going, NFL is better for TV anyways, the typical NFL fan at the stadium is the worst.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
There's no question in my mind that they'll have no-fan or limited-fan games if at all possible in order to have the TV product.
Re: NFL Offseason 2020
I mean, sure you can. That's what season tickets are; good luck buying non-corner single game tickets at Allen, for example.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 2:16 pmHeard an interesting conversation about this on a podcast. Re: NFL Offseason 2020
What seems unfair is telling a 15+ year season ticket holder they only get 4 games.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
The Chiefs have such an advantage over most teams (if season gets pushed to start on time) it’s staggering.
Most starters back, coaching staff back, Mahomes.
Should just give second title to Chiefs right now.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
I don't think they addressed the secondary ( weaker than it was last season actually ) but it may not matter.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
I'm assuming Breeland is looking at a multiple game suspension for multiple infractions. The Chiefs did add a couple of corners via the draft that remains to be seen if they will be ready. I would assume if both examples happen they may play the 'camp casualties cut' market and sign a veteran to try and hold them over. The other big concern is the health Thornhill.

It seems like there are always a bunch of Dbacks looking for work when the pre-season starts.

Re: NFL Offseason 2020
Chiefs have had a good history of UDFA too. Sorensen being one of them. They got Ward from the Cowboys for a 6th round linemen who was cut maybe not even a year later.
I think Veach does a pretty good job finding guys who aren’t highly touted and the staff can make them good.
