You'd likely have Tyon Grant Foster and Bryce Thompson instead of McCullar.
It sucks he got hurt.
If he hadn't we are likely a 2 seed in this tourney.
I guess that would probably be worth it?
At the same time, i'd have loved to see Foster and Thompson as seniors.
McCullar committed to KU in May of 2022, more than a year after Thompson left KU (April 2021). McCullar had ZERO to do with Thompson not being at Kansas.

I was kind of speaking towards Illy's 1 and done transfer comments rather than trying to keep players to become upperclassmen.
Don't bring in Jalen Coleman Lands and Kyle Lowry and try and keep Bryce.

Twitter or whatever isn’t being kind (for the most part) to McCullar.

Just clarifying here's what Bill initially said immediately when asked about it.
"Kevin's not gonna play. Kevin says his knee pain hasn't subsided any and it's too bad for him to be able to contribute...No, he's out. We're shutting him down for the tournament...he hasn't done more damage to his knee but he tried to do it and said he couldn't go."

If he worded it like that intentionally, then I think the speculation is deserved. Maybe the wording was unintentional. But the wording, followed hours later by the KM social media post, make it seem a little sketchy to me.

Ohhhh shit Hunter.
"The shoulder feels good, good enough to be out there with my teammates. I feel like everybody is dealing with a little injury nowadays especially towards the end of the season, I feel good and i'm ready to get out there with my teammates."
Props my man.

I didn't think he took a shot at KM at all. The opposite actually. But all up to interpretation.

He clearly was taking subtle jabs at mccullar. That's unmistakable

Pretty sure McCullar will have fewer wins as a starter in tourney than any player as a starter under self (of course this could change if Samford beats us tomorrow).

If you watch the entire video, he absolutely was not taking jabs at McCullar. I really dislike HD so I was hoping I could dislike him more talking trash on a teammate. But nah.

You don't.

I just don't know why he word for word say "good enough to be out there for my teammates" twice, unless it's a jab. Otherwise it's just a crazy coincidence
Mccullar would be playing in pain, nobody is doubting that. But he could go. He's tried to go several times since this injury occurred
He just doesn't want to play hobbled on the big stage and risk hurting his draft stock
