Thanks for the rec, gutter. I may or may not go, got time to decide.
now that I think about it, also saw Melvin with the Jerry birthday tribute w/a symphony at Red Rocks a couple years back.
but actually, just stopping by to mention Dead & Co announced another Sphere run.
Yep.
Mayer sure is a greedy mother fucker.
I guess as long as Bobby and Mickey are still vertical they will appease him.
After last year's Sphere shows, I figured many if not most people would prefer they did a brief tour this spring / next summer.
Nah, fuck that. Like I said, Mayer sure is a greedy mother fucker, and this is the easiest way to milk the cow/s.
I imagine that it's easier for 80 year old dudes to set up camp in one city and let the fans come to them. I have no idea about Mayer's greediness.

Yes.
I think.
There is a big advantage to a "residency". For the members of the band. Not so much for the fans of the band.
I guess I'm selfish in wishing they would have chosen to go on a 4 or 6 or 8 city tour instead. Even if they didn't play in the Chicago area.
If I could pick 8 venues 15K+ but under 50K....
In no particular order
1. Alpine Valley
2. The Gorge
3. Jones Beach (does it still have concerts?)
4. Merriweather Post Pavilion (Just throwing out a random place for nostalgic purposes)
5. Hollywood Bowl
6. Shoreline
7. Red Rocks
8. ? Maybe somewhere in the south east or south west to appease people in that area.
In regards to Meyer's greediness, I have zero doubt he loves playing with/in the band but his demands to do as such include that he is the member of the band (and of all people) who profits from it the most.
If it's not "greediness" (maybe it isn't actual "greediness"), I'll say he's a "controlling" mother fucker and add the as I did before when I said he "sure is a greedy mother fucker".

if Dead and Co played Red Rocks tickets might very well be 5 figures apiece

Bobby, Mickey, and Billy, will be in DC tomorrow and Sunday.
Sad that they still have Phil on here.
If I had the ability to post pics, I have a great one my wife took of me that there is an unknown Leon Bridges playing as a special guest of the Quaker City Nighthawks.
My wife and I were blown away by his talent. 3 months later, he was the face of Apple Music

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm going to take a pass. While I have seen videos of them and appreciate their talent, for some unknown reason watching them reminds me of something I would see at Chuck E Cheese with their animatronics.
