Guys, you don't seem to understand.
Where Psych lives, a dozen eggs costs $26.
Mexicans are clawing at his doors and windows 24/7.
He suffers a property theft at least weekly.
He loves him some Russia.
It's so unfair.
You’re starting to look desperate. When you add that to dumb and hubristic, well, you can have Gutter do the math for you.
Great comeback!
You are on a ROLL

My math is that I'm not you......
That being said, you might be surprised to know I have my own issues with the things Jeeper listed and will elaborate.
*I don't eat eggs by themself but there are eggs in things I eat and the cost of those things have substinally gone up in the past few years.
*I don't have Mexicans clawing at my doors and windows 24/7 but I do have "illegal" Mexicans (and Venuzualens) who are committing crimes in my neighborhood.
* I don't suffer a property theft at least weekly but I have gotten my LOCKED bike stolen from in front of my apartment building.
* I don't love me some Russia but I do have a problem IF (that's a BIG IF) the USA is preferring to help fund war/s over helping to stop/end the war/s.
I'm dumb but I'm not dumb enough to believe all those things would not have happened if Donnie was my President - and will be resolved if he becomes my President.

Call a quote and screenshot whatever you want. It sure seems like you are trying very hard to give Vance a pass for having no respect for the basic intelligence of R voters.

US GDP in 2019 (under trump, but prior to covid), ranked 7th in history
trump’s economy wasn’t even as good as Carter’s
such a high bar…

My reference was not meant as a dig at you. I was acknowledging your mathematical ability. I wouldn't take PBB's hyperbole to heart. He thinks he's being clever or funny or cleverly funny.

I think we know how our friends will respond to FBI statistics.
Which,
exactly like the disaster relief item, bears mentioning: if Trump wins, he will be subject NO consequences for corruptly directing the DOJ to report whatever crime “statistics” suit his purposes.

and they will scream and stomp their feet without providing anything resembling actual evidence in rebuttal

You’d have to ask those who do not believe the FBI’s crime reporting statistics.

You are demonstrating the corrosive power of lies. Or, as some of our other friends around here might put it, gaslighting.

Here is the not so funny thing. MICH happens to be right that "it's not all that farfetched".
We all know there are REPORTED crimes and there are UNREPORTED crimes.
Not a single person on here knows for a fact if there has been a decrease (or an increase) in UNREPORTED crimes.
Forgetting what is (and isn't) reported to the police - which is what I believe we are discussing - I live in a city where politicians and powerful people have an influence on the media - and what is and isn't reported to the public.
Sorry boys and girls, crime very well may be down - but I sure as heck wouldn't bet a substantial amount of money on it - and my hope is neither would any of you.

I would
guess that a disproportionate amount of unreported crime involves people of particular demographics that are not of much interest to the folks.

I would "guess" that too.
You know what I wouldn't guess? From the story Trad provided the link to.....
"The preliminary figures in the FBI’s Quarterly Uniform Crime Report, which covers January through June, come with important limitations. For one, the bureau relies upon data voluntarily submitted by policing agencies.
The numbers released Monday were gathered from more than 14,800 of the just over 19,300 law enforcement agencies from across the country, according to the bureau. The new preliminary figures do not include data from Los Angeles and may only include partial figures from Chicago.
Crime analysts also say quarterly data is imprecise, as law enforcement agencies have the remainder of the year to audit and correct any reporting errors before final annual figures are published by the FBI".
