Here we go....
42-1, 21-1, and 21-1, horses in the 3rd race at Turffontein in South Africa. No way the favorite at 2-1 is 10x better than the 3 horses at 42-1, 21-1, and 21-1.
There is a horse at 5-1 that I like. Going to bet the 5-1 on top in a trifecta and the favorite on top in a superfecta.
Because I did that, neither will be winners.
Let's see what happens.
Jackpot!
#1 (2-1) over #12 (21-1) over #11 (5-1) over #6 (42-1) Superfecta
Bunch of scratches in the race so only an 8 horse race.
I'm predicting I only WIN (profit) between $20 and $40 when in theory it should pay anywhere between $160 and $800.
* And...... Right on cue! There was a tote problem and those odds aren't what the horses went off at.
Odds were much worse (in regards to "profit").

GUTTETRED!
Didn't get paid.
I reached out to TwinSpires and asked why not.......
Kris B. says: It means that your wagers were unable to be comingled with the track's pool, so the wagers weren't able to be placed in tote. Whenever there is a tote delay, the track is required to refund the wagers, and we are required to honor their payouts, cancellations, results, and refunds.

Horse racing just seems sketch to me. Not that there aren’t fixes in college and pro sports but I dunno, just don’t trust it.
Last night hit bigly on ISU ML and Knicks -8.5.
3 more bonus bets to go, 3 days to use em.

I agree 100% that horse racing can be (IS) "sketch" and shouldn't be trusted. Too easy to manipulate. Hard for me not to think jockey's can be (and are) in cahoots in cheap paying (to the winning owners) races.
And then right on cue we have the 6th race at Fairview (South Africa) - Hey, I'll take it.........
1 horse won and went off at 9/5 (2-1 opening odds)
3 horse finished second and went off at 51-1 (12-1 opening odds)
4 horse finished third and went off at 8-1 (10-1 opening odds)
10 horse finished fourth and went off at 7-1 (12-1 opening odds)

Finish line photo. So which horse won?
The #1, the middle (#3), or #6?

hard to tell without knowing where the line was but if I was forced to guess I'd say middle horse, his head alignment pushing his nose out just a hair further than the others.
depending on the libe could be white horse too....the bottom horse is actually a slight step ahead I think hut his head is down which takes away several inches

I didn't know when I asked. They decided it was a dead heat (tie) between the 1 and the 3.

No, you're a good judge!
I wasn't sure and had all 3 horses in an Exacta Key. Was happy because the #1 was 10-1 odds and the #3 was I think about 2-1 odds.

Went a little crazy last night.
Placed these wagers.....
Kentucky 8.5-1 to win the South
Dook 5.5-1 to win the South
Arizona 2.6-1 to win the West
UNC 4.6-1 to win the West
Tennessee 3.1-1 to win the Midwest
Oregon 44-1 to win the Midwest
Samford 110-1 to win the Midwest
Iowa State 4-1 to win the East
Auburn 5-1 to win the East
UConn 4-1 to win the Championship
Houston 5.5-1 to win the Championship
UNC 20-1 to win the Championship
Kentucky 30-1 to win the Championship
Arizona 15-1 to win the Championship
Tennessee 15-1 to win the Championship
Auburn 17-1 to win the Championship
Will have Purdue to win the Championship in one of my brackets to sort of hedge myself.

I have a few of those teams Gutter b/c the odds just looked too good.
UNC. Kentucky. Auburn. Hate two of those teams but the odds were there.
Also dabbled in Creighton and Gonzaga.

Had a very nice day yesterday on the back of, of all things, golf.
I have been burned, on hoops, a couple times lately by overtime. I'm aware it's priced into the odds, but it's sure a kick in the dick to lose because a game went to overtime (for example, I've lost a spread bet (on the underdog) because a game went to OT and the underdog ended up losing; and I've lost a SGP where the under on player scoring was busted...when the player scored in OT).
I'm not saying those were unfair results; them's the rules. But it sure feels unfair.

I think my experience has just been fortunate with OT and overs.
I hit on the Chiefs SB to go to OT, and then finished out some parlays with Mahomes over and Chiefs points over - that was a windfall.
And I hit on 1 leg last week ( Pascal Siakam ) that I needed OT to finish my parlay...so I feel it's very fair.
Just a possible hint - for those with money in multiple accounts - withdraw most of it, and then try and loose the rest. There is a decent shot you will get a deposit splash ( 50%, 33%, 25% ).
I have gotten 3 of them.
This latest got me 500 dollars in bonus bets which I bet straight, got lucky, and hit all 5 on straight bets and parlays.

I have Samford not to win ( never could do that ) but to cover at 8.5 before the line dipped to 7.

Looks like you hit.
Got a lot cooking today and tomorrow.
Last night I had Celtics -7.5 before Giannis went out. Line shifted to 11.5. Celtics up 20 in the 4th and almost cashed out. Didn’t. Oops.

That was a crazy game. Bucks looked dead in the water in the 3rd, then went on a big run.
Probably a preview of the eastern conference finals.
