very fair take
Very much where I am. It just means that Self has good taste in recruits. If he went somewhere and sucked, I would be kinda bummed that he was someone we targeted.

DH and Zeke play together.

Philon is as big as Zeke.

We've had DH Coit and Zeke on the court together. Philon appears to be better than Storr and Griffen. I do not think it's a stretch to assume Philon could have started alongside Zeke and DH. Knowing what we know now. Seeing what we've seen from Philon and the guys he'd be competing with here.

Elmarko, i think woulda been a bigger threat in Philon’s mind (i’m only having a vague memory of the timing of everything, so could easily be off)
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

If I remember correctly he decommitted before Elmarkos injury, so you may very well be right.

Maybe he expected a transfer from Elmarko? I think Zeke was the first piece to fall transfer wise, so maybe that was the final straw?

Either way, he's killing it at Bama. I think he'd have been a major contributor for us.

If future NBA super stars don't want to come to KU to play basketball first, there's nothing we can do to stop them.
