My wife retires next week.
She said that she is so happy to be out of the Science Field, as it would break her heart to be on the ground as Science gets ripped apart.

After being proud to have contended with the AIDS epidemic from the time before it even had a name when I was in school, I'm ashamed to admit how thankful I was not to be practicing when the Novel Corona Virus pandemic hit in Jan, '20. I was conflicted, for sure, and even considered coming out of retirement since I've maintained my license, but thankfully it didn't come to that. But to see the ignorance-inspired selfishness and lack of regard for their fellow citizens and health care workers by some Americans, was not only heartbreaking, but stupefying. Suddenly, because of one ignorant, pathological-liar and malignant narcissist's fear of being blamed, they were willing to ignore centuries of public health knowledge gleaned from prior pandemics as well as decades of medical science, in order to please their cult leader and make it easier on themselves, and everyone else be dammed.

if you're not to busy, and since you're retired. How would you like you like to movw to wonderful eastern oregon and become our personal family physician? Sound good? I still don't have a doctor after living here for the better part of 13 years. The waiting lists to be seen are long and I eventually give up and try someone else.

What a sad comment on our medical "system". smh. It's no wonder why people are sympathetic to the cold-blooded murderer who killed the UHC CEO. It's almost a surprise the perp didn't have to wait in line, to do it.

If we hadn't already exposed ourselves as a nation that's dumb enough to elect a pos like Trump as our president, twice, I would think there is no way the American people would put up with such a horrible, dysfunctional, health care "system". But, we are, and we do...and we just elected a guy who wants to make it even worse.

And, although you sound pretty desperate, I'm not going to let that ruin the glow I feel that you'd even joke about considering trusting me with something as valuable as your health, even after reading my musings here for longer than either of us would be comfortable admitting.
