Love it. Not a KD fan. Was in college, but not anymore.

They desperately need steph back. It's crazy how different they look without him on the court.

Hawks and OKC dollars per day made me want to vomit for those organizations.

I REALLY hope that the 76ers don't try the Melo experiment like they're rumored to be pondering. He has no value anymore. He's a volume shooter who can't fucking make shots....and the shots he can make, the mid range, are literally statistically the worst shots a player can take. Get in the paint or shoot a 3 in the new NBA philosophy it seems. And he doesn't do either of those well anymore.

The game changed on him the last handful of years. He's really good (or was) in half court iso stuff where he can post his man, or get the defender on his back side in the mid range, and search for his shot....but that slow tempo style of basketball doesn't really exist right now. And he's so bad at everything else that the payoff for what he does well doesn't outweigh what you lose by having him out there. He had a great career. HoF player for sure. But he may be doing his legacy a disservice by dragging this thing out just for the money.

It can't keep being "oh its just a bad fit"....because I think nearly everywhere would be a bad fit at this point.

I'm surprised how quickly a 10 time all star became useless.

Father time is undefeated.

The guys that have been able to play at advanced ages always had to modify their games. Unfortunately he's always kind of had that "old man" type of style so there's not much he can transform in to that would make him useful. He can't turn himself into a facilitator because it doesn't come natural. He tries, but he's got to think, and when you've got to think you become slower. Instinctually he's a scorer, not a distributor, and it's too late to try to become that.

Should have been a Bool.
Assuming he hasn't pissed it all away, clearly he has made enough money to walk away and live happily ever after.
Where does he rank in terms of the best NBA players of all time? Top 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200?

I'm sure you could make a case that he's top 125 or so.

Nope..i dont think so. Top 125 scorers....maybe but probably not even that. Definitely not top 125 players. Fuck melo, hes a top 10 bitch though.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/nb ... rank-51-60

I'm not implying that because someone at espn ranked him at 59 all time that it somehow has to be true....but if they have him that high then I think it'd be pretty hard to say he's not top 125.

He's 22nd on the all time scoring list. That's an accomplishment no matter how bad the Knicks teams he played on were. Or how bad he's looked the last 2 years.

True....although I hate Warrick (mainly the last of his 2 blocks) and McNamara (6 3pters) WAY more than Melo from that game.
