Francesa is the Rush Limbaugh of sports radio. He's a provocateur and it's hard to tell if he really believes in anything he spews or just his radio schtick. Haven't listened to him in about 20 years, since we moved west. I used to listen to him rather regularly when I lived in Connecticut, about 25 years ago - wasn't much else on radio as we were in a pocket on the outer edges of the Providence, Hartford TV/radio markets. AM out of NY or Boston were the only choices, and the NY ones were powerful - 660 AM and Francesa (with Russo) and Don Imus were it!

Don't feel too bad for him though - he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Trump aides were alarmed when they learned of the exchange, and immediately put the shipment on hold while they ordered a review of U.S. aid procedures. Crossed wires would only confuse our allies, they worried, or worse—offend them. And Americans confronting a surging death toll and shortages of medical equipment back home would likely be outraged.

And today, the docs and nurses may be getting the news of their pay cuts.

Emergency room doctors and nurses many of whom are dealing with an onslaught of coronavirus patients and shortages of protective equipment — are now finding out that their compensation is getting cut.

Most ER providers in the U.S. work for staffing companies that have contracts with hospitals. Those staffing companies are losing revenue as hospitals postpone elective procedures and non-coronavirus patients avoid emergency rooms. Health insurers are processing claims more slowly as they adapt to a remote workforce.
