So, perhaps the best big man in the country coming up on Saturday.
Need Good Dave, obviously, but wonder if KJ can take it another step higher giving up that much length.

KJ looks like a 10/10 guy for us next year.

Is Yes more of a 2 guard?
Could his slow start come from being thrown out there as a pg?
Has he played alongside Dajuan much previously?

Don’t see this from Self often. He knows what a confident Joseph can do.

soo
Dave
Jalen
Braun
Och
Dajuan
Joe
Mitch
JCL/KJ as needed
Dajuan is still a low ceiling guard but I feel a little better augmenting that with a more explosive guard complement like Joe. And we still don't really have much actual frontcourt depth.
but hey, we've made runs without much actual frontcourt depth before. (would you rather have Mitch and KJ, or Justin Wesley and Kevin Young before the 'fro?)

I think the goal would be to up our 3 point percentage to 37% while continuing to shoot around 22 3's a game.
It's a big ask ( we shot 34.2% last season ) - but I think doable.
Also need to up our 2 point % significantly as well - to 53% - from 49%.
Also I think doable with a senior DMac and a couple players who can drive to the basket.
3 point % 36.5.
3PA 20.6.
2 point % 55.7.
Getting there.

sooo
Do we even see Remy again?
Is knee just coach talk for doghouse?
Even if he’s not in the doghouse, how does a player like Remy come back from injury and effectively plug into the rotation? In the middle of February…

I don't think he's wearing a fake knee brace during games to help Self lie about him being in the doghouse.

Ok.
I’d ask if it might be like to some degree, but considering you didn’t answer any of my other questions, dunno if I should bother

Man, I'd still want KJ over Mitch. I just think Mitch is absolutely terrible. KJ gives you some athleticism against faster bigs. Watching Texas bigs last night, they're all athletic and quick, Mitch will get eaten alive.

I'd say right now, Mitch is a better player than KJ bc hes been in the system for six years. Hes efficient when he gets the ball to his spots. Hes a bad defender if his man gets to the block and hes not good at keeping his man off the block. KJ is already a good deal better at that, keeping his guy out of position.
Mitch is a sneaky good blocker though.

Illy and pdub's heads just exploded. Doesn't Bill Self know that Bill Self never makes a mistake and can never be second guessed?
JFC, what's wrong with that guy? Maybe he should put a note in the Bill Self Suggestion Box?
