People will look back on Andy Reid's career and go how the fuck did he not get COY while at the Chiefs?
Silly.

I agree. Maybe Pat Mahomes is to blame for that? You know, the Chiefs are supposed to be great every season so when they are - Reid doesn't deserve any credit for it and it's all Pat Mahomes.

NFL CoY has turned into the same thing that NCAA Conference CoY awards have become. It's not an award for who was the "best" coach. It's an award for which coach most overperformed preseason expectations. Andy Reid's consistent success has put him in the Bill Self category of always being expected to perform well, even if it is probably not an accurate expectation. They get the benefit of the doubt that they will "figure it out" and win because they almost always do.

I agree.
Bill Belichick only won CoY 3 times.

Holy shit, I get not picking us but wow:
"Denny Carter — 49ers 38 - Chiefs 10
The math is not allowing me to see this as an even affair or anything close to it. The Niners are a machine, and their offense matches up well with a top-end Kansas City defense that should be bludgeoned via the run here. I really believe the 49ers could crack 200 rushing yards in this game. This Chiefs team does not have the ability to score points quickly. They’ll be forced to dink and dunk their way down the field. That won’t be enough. Niners win in a dominant performance."

That'd be a nice payout if he teased the line to SF -27.5

#1 rushing team in the NFL: Baltimore Ravens w/ 156 rush yards/game
vs. KC in playoffs: 81 rushing yards & 10 points scored
#2 rushing team in the NFL: Chicago Bears w/ 141 rush yards/game
vs. KC in reg season: 116 yards rushing & 10 points scored
#5 rushing team in the NFL: Detroit Lions w/ 136 rush yards/game
vs. KC in reg season (with no Chris Jones playing): 118 yards rushing and 14 points scored by the offense
#5 rushing team in the NFL: Miami Dolphins w/ 136 rush yards/game
vs. KC in reg season: 117 yards rushing & 14 points scored
vs. KC in playoffs: 76 yards rushing & 7 points scored
#6 rushing team in the NFL: Buffalo Bills w/ 130 rush yards/game
vs. KC in reg season: 118 yards rushing & 20 points scored
vs. KC in playoffs: 182 yards rushing & 24 points scored
#8 rushing team in the NFL: Philadelphia Eagles w/ 129 rush yards/game
vs. KC in reg season: 114 yards rushing & 21 points scored
Eight games played against Top 10 rushing teams in the NFL and just ONE managed to rush for even more than 120 yards vs. KC. The notion that SF, who finished 3rd in the NFL with 140 yards rushing per game, is going to rush for 100+ yards and score 38 points vs. this Chiefs defense, is fundamentally stupid. KC isn't awful at rush defense, they finished middle of the pack in the NFL. Teams just tried to run more against them mostly because they couldn't pass against them with Sneed and McDuffie back there.

Only because I actually did some vs. not doing any review of what has actually happened. You can't look at anything and come back with "I think SF will rush for 200+ and score 38 points". That's just the creation of a purely emotional, uninformed opinion.

So 70% of the money in Vegas is on the Chiefs...which is not good.

Almost everyone picking KC is definitely making me nervous. SF has been the better team over the course of the season, but KC has been the better team in the playoffs.
It's a scary matchup. SF can beat you in so many ways.

Right...but the fact that Vegas isn't moving their line to get more money on the SF side is a bit suspect and scary.
UNLESS Vegas has a mass amount of futures on SF they need to account for and if that's the case, it's NOT scary.

This is where penalty conspiracy theories have legs. Vegas has an obvious vested interest in making money. Gambling and sports has a dark history.
