Perhaps this is a stupid question but in regards to "Run, hide, fight".
Let's say you hear a report of an "active shooter" and you see a person with a gun walking the hallway/s of a building you are in. You are not sure if they noticed you or not. How do you make a/the quick decision between the 3 and what is the definitive correct response?
2nd perhaps stupid question.
I live in a high rise. Besides there never being a fire/emergency evacuation drill in the 15 years of my living in the building, there has never been an "active shooter" drill either.
Do you feel it should be mandatory for business owners/managers and apartment building owners/mangers to conduct both a fire/emergency evacuation drill and an "active shooter" drill on at least a yearly basis?

Counting down until the inevitable bad-faith R spin on this. Haven’t opened Twitter yet this morning. Wonder what I’ll find.

Thankfully not a "mass" shooting but a shooting in a fricking movie theatre.
Not the first time. Won't be the last.

Early reports say 6 or 7 people shot. The shooter was "taken down".
Can't wait to hear/know what race/sexual orientation/nationally/religion/political affiliation/etc. the shooter is/was.
You know, because that's what really matters to the assholes.
Not that he/she had a gun and shot people.

Just another day that ends in the letter "Y" in America:
Thanks, republicans.

Beshear is a good guy and a fair politician who will probably get voted out of office soon. Can't have reasonable people in the Governor's Mansion.

I would just add - regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum, I'd hope gun owners realize that the quickest path to losing privileges arising out of Second Amendment freedoms is to take absolutist views of what those freedoms entail; pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.
It's not so unlike a debate that raged for a while on the basketball bored: negotiate and manage targeted, sensible adaptations...or have something much blunter thrust upon you.

Can't beleive that "gun free zone" sticker didn't stop this one either

Do we know enough yet about the shooter (of the gun(s)), the people shot (by the shooter of the gun(s), with the gun(s)), or the shooting (of the people shot (by the shooter of the gun(s), with the gun(s)) to identify which particular “it was the shooter, not the gun(s)” excuse applies here?

There are no excuses for it. A bad person did a bad thing. Their "identities" are irrelevant.
Bad people continue to do bad things. Always have always will. There is no reason to spin the "lets make guns less accessible for everyone" narrative

I mean, you’re not wrong. If this shooter had instead tried to audibly assault his victims with pots and pans, then that would have been just as bad. Duh.

God damn you're ignorant. If murder laws dont prevent murder, gun possession laws won't stop gun possession
Someone that doesn't abide the law is not going to give a fuck about your little gun laws (that will never pass)
