FWIW, Dallas County had their highest number of confirmed cases in a day TODAY and tied their highest daily death total of 10.

But let’s open this fucker up on Friday!

You can’t hide in your house forever.

Well, maybe you can. But the rest of us cannot.

Did anyone say "forever"?
Has anyone really hide in their house? You are free to step out of your house and in most if not all states you are free to get outside and go take a walk.
I'm assuming you can see/comprehend the issue sdoyle is referring to. It seems your attitude is basically I don't give a fuck if I get sick (and possibly die) and I care even less if I get someone else sick (and they possibly die) - I can't wait any longer.
I'm extremely sympathetic to those who are suffering financially (I've been there), I'm more sympathetic to those who have lost loved ones and have loved ones who are dying because of the virus.

Tentative, but hopeful:

(Gilead, GILD, is up ~ 6%.)

Good thing President Trump hasn't said anything about it. Otherwise it would be garbage.

It's safe to assume Psych is among the 2%:

Abundance of caution on Gilead. Their stock jumped on this preliminary information just as it fell last week on a “mistakenly released draft study.” People are anxious for good news, especially Wall Street. As the GDP falls like a rock, you still have people there chasing shadows and rewarding companies who lay-off their workforce.

"The FDA, literally as we speak, is working with Gilead to figure out mechanisms to make this easily available to those who need it," — Dr. Anthony Fauci

Dr. Anthony Fauci on remdesivir study: "What it has proven is that a drug can block this virus. This will be the standard of care."

Feral is absolutely correct. As I’ve said earlier and elsewhere I am hopeful but also prepared that this could amount to absolutely nothing other than a hope. The study (if you read the report from Gilead) is small and uncontrolled. So yes if Trump (or anybody else for that matter) said anything beyond that it’s hopeful then it would be garbage.

And if there’s anything we know about Trump he can’t resist himself!! It would soon become the “most beautiful trial with excellent results”.
